it's so sad song . Poor Quasi. Garou, Daniel. Patric were the best . I don't like Es. at all .She is not really pretty &young & not enough innocent . Too much make up on her . Replace her for the other actress the show much more better
I actually liked how Peobus gave her over to the athorities without any problem because that shows what a dick he his, and now Esmeralda knows it. But this song is so friggin sad I just want to kill everybody like that will bring her back for Quasi ); Poor guy )): I would do anything for him.
I've never heard this before, I was directed from another website... so can someone please tell me if this is a musical, opera, if it's been on west end/ broadway etc. because this is BEAUTIFUL!
in my opinion both versions are great. this story/musical is breathtakingly beautiful. this is one of the most tragic and beautiful things ive ever seen. i just love quasimodo's actions and gestures towards esmeralda theyre so sweet
First, I watched the French version. Then, I went through a few of the English ones to see how each character stacked up against the French. Not very well, so far (especially Esmerelda, ugh), then... I saw that Garou played both versions.
The English cast is almost the same as the French cast, but Esmeralda, Phœbus and Fleur-de-lys are different. Esmeralda is Tina Arena and Phœbus is Steve Balsamo. I don't know who play Fleur-de-lys in the English version...
Hi Look I realy apreciate u posting this movie, it is my all time favoret. I had read the book and then seen all the movies, this is the only one that followed the book to the verry end. I absolutly Love Garou and Daniel Lavoie I realy am glad u posted this. This is my favoret song out of the whole movie, I know the whole sone in English and french, If u can Find it u should post the German version of it, and the pollish. Once again thanks a billion. Oh some advice, DONT LOVE SOLDIERS! LOVE QMD
i love this song, it's so sad. I have a story where the girl loves to sing and dance and she nearly dies. The guy thinks she is dead and goes nearly histarical. My friend showed me this song after she read that chapter. I am totally in love with it and i even had him mention this song in it when i revised it. thx for posting this! i love you!
I went and saw this when it was on the West End. Truly incredible show. I was stunned when he walked out at the end, because he didn't have his hunchback on, so he was normal and smiling. he looked like a completely different person.
So sad :( Btw, this song is not viewable on mobile. Could you please make it so people can see it on mobile?

Ouch. It looks like he might have accidentally bashed her with his knees at the end when he dropped down at her side.

even if I appreciate this and even if i love so much english language, i must say that latin-from language works better in this play

How can singers in English version sin so similarly to those in French version do!? Are they the same people!? The English version sounds magical!

Fleur-de-Lys in the English version is played by Natasha St.-Pierre. She's very talented, but the French cast is my favourite one. :)

Why did Esmeralda have to die?
Loved the song

Because Notre Dame de Paris is about social injustice.

What's the use of putting the subtitles saying the same thing in different words???
ApprenticePL 3 years ago
The subtitles were from the French DVD, they had to change the lyrics to fit the songs (supposedly :D) for the English version
