I think what the Doctor meant by last time lord meant either the last good Time Lord or the last Time Lord who wasn't caught in the time lock, but that's what I think.

Agreed - and numbers don't lie - Tennant was good, but he ranks 3rd in longest runs as the Doctor (4 1/2 seasons) Tom Baker, as MaxwellBennett says, holds 1st place at a whopping 8 seasons, with Pertwee being the runner up with 5 - I think.

The current intro just lacks imagination, like it was done overnight. The design process went like this: DW = vortex, so we'll do a wicked "stargate movie" like vortex.....people like the "matrix freeze'n'pan" so we'll do that with the TARDIS....ok, lets go grab some lunch and when we get back lets wrap this thing up....**LATER*** lets just do the actor's names in 3D letters and have the logo come spinning into the camera...cuz doesn't the TARDIS spin when its in a vortex? I think it did before

Because in the new series, the actor's names are used in the opening, but in the classic series, they were credited at the end. And Rose *gag* is the first companion to get credit at the beginning, with the Doctor.

The doctor has only 3 regenerations left after Tennant quits - thats if they go on the 13 regenerations theme they brought up once. Seeing as the Master did run out of regenerations and the vailyard - a possible evil final incarnation of the doctor suggests his final regeneration. So perhaps they may do a batman and re do him from the start when they run out of lives!?

Yes, Rodger Delgado was the Master's last regeneration, He took the body of Tremas, played by Anthony Ainley, who played the Master from that point on. In the episode "The Five Doctors", the Time Lords offered the master the reward of 13 more regenerations, so it must be possible for the Time Lords to grant additional regenerations

OK, first of all, the Doctor = last Time Lord....FALSE. The Master is a Time Lord. And a time lock (said to be what ended the Great Time War) doesn't destroy anything, it merely loops a specified span of time, and all events within that span, in a specified region of space (as seen in The Armageddon Factor, using the Key To Time). So technically speaking, the Doctor is by no means the last Time Lord. The time lock saved the universe by isolating the war to the region of Gallifrey.

So he IS the only Time Lord throughout the whole of the universe and time, but the rest of the Time Lords do exist, but only for a brief moment in time, over and over. I still think that the Dalek's escape from the lock will be attributed to the Doctor's actions in the end of WOMs. Changing two fixed points, (Pompeii and Mars) rippled through space/time, damaging the lock and thus allowing the Daleks to escape. So, the Doctor is the very reason he bumped into the Dalek in series 1's "Dalek."

Jenny isn't his daughter by conventional conception - while the two share DNA, Jenny was actually the product of a cloning machine that designated gender during duplication, so technically, Jenny is the female equivalent of the Doctor, but the term "daughter" is not misused, since she was produced from the Doctor's DNA. You are right though - any way you slice it, Jenny IS a Gallifreyan.

I suppose because the machine is what it is - it is capable of producing clones and nothing more. Logic would suggest that if you were to create another clone using it, and the machine designated that clone "male," it would likely result in the form of one of the Doctor's 11 incarnations. You could create a race of Time Lords, but they would all be either male/female "Doctors."
