Saw them 3 times. At one of the shows in Hollywood I spoke with James a bit. He asked me what i wanted to hear and I named a track. When they got on stage just before jamming they said this song goes out to (me). I shit my pants and was like what?!!?!? They are freakin cool!!!!!!!
This was/is one of my favorite bands of all time. Seen them live close to a dozen times. Drove across the country to see them do New Year's Eve in their home town of Lawrence, KS. But honestly...they're not very good live.
Killer song from this album, 'cause it's the D in Detroit which scares me to no end. When living this down makes so much sense. I kept your picture just behind the eye those weeks when our distance grew. Drove North where I found you, waiting in Des Moines.
What an amazing day, 11 years ago seeing live in Copenhagen together The Get Up Kids and The Anniversary! 'Something to write home about' and 'Designing a nervous breakdown' release albums tour...Holy holy fuck!!!!!
I remember the same night was some straightedge show at some club, so all of my friends except me and David went there, 'cause we were the only ones a bit into some different stuff, not only hardcorepunk. It was fantastic, because actually both records are on my top 10 list, and before that evening we've never heard of The Anniversary... Later on, they did 'Your Majesty', it was already smth completely different, too much for my taste, but 'Designing....',i still love it so much!
@stormsdwyer1 I know TGUK did reunion tour, but unfortunately didn't had a chance to see them live again. But, then i guess, maybe it's even better this way.
wait...it's also "and girl I hope you're whole again, back home you'll sleep better".
Are you sure you got the lyrics right?
