How to install World of Warcraft on Ubuntu 10.10 using wine

theres one easier way to do this.... install "winetricks" without the quotations...

open winetricks and tick install game, scroll down and tick World Of Warcraft Trial then click OK...... and follow the installation process

Hey nice work, can you tell the command you enter in the terminal plz.. anyways just curious just got cata working nicely, even water effects are fine.. im playing on ubuntu 64 bit 10.10 with wine beta release and everythings works, how ever the sounds is pretty low do you know if theres a way to boost that.. ( i did turn up in game) when i ran 10.04 i had a problem with the launcher crashing that isnt the issue now... my graphics card is a radeon 4600 Pro 1024 mb

Thanks worked perfect... i slaved my old drive and copyed it over...i only had to switch drivers for nividea 9500gt one works and one crashes it right out.

Ok, ran into two problems. On step one it tells me glxinfo is not installed. My second problem has to do with Wine. When I tried to copy WoW into it it says there is not enough space. Turns out my Wine C: drive is only about 5gig in size. Any help on increaseing this? Thanks.

@xDarkeyesx13 Hey, good stuff for getting it running... as for the no sound thing.. is sound enabled in game? and turned up?

Every system i've done this on the sound worked straight after install... but on a couple the sound was just really low in the game settings.. let me know how you go :D
