Yes that is true. I believe Brendon can do more genres though, Patrick's voice is very soulful and it does very well with the song he sings and genres like the Blues or jazz. Here's the thing, Auto-Tune makes you sound like a robot. Besides all of that, Fall Out Boy, much like Jay-Z are so anti-auto tune, it hurts. They're all about organic music. And if YOU use Auton-Tune, you're not a musician by any means.

it is true technically they are better but it's a rock show. it's not supposed to be perfect. high energy is part of their act. it's what drew people to them. while their later music is a lot more complicated they don't have to tone it down that much. like joe's sedated when they're playing sugar on soundstage! sugar is super easy!

he knows he is using autotune because you can hear it in his voice, use your ears people, i use autotune all the time and he for sure using it

yeah, its kinda hard to hit every note perfect when you singing for how long and hitting the notes he is hitting, your voice gets tired, and i use auto tune all the time i know what it sounds like when someone is using it

Here's the thing, Auto-Tune makes you sound like a robot. Besides all of that, Fall Out Boy, much like Jay-Z are so anti-auto tune, it hurts. They're all about organic music. And if YOU use Auton-Tune, you're not a musician by any means.

here's the thing, you can change the tuning speed of auto tune to make is sound natural, you dont always have to sound like a robot while using auto tune so you have no idea what your talkng about, and when i use auto tune its for fun cause its fun to sound like a robot sometimes, so next time before you try to prove someone wrong, you should actually know what your talking about

yeah you are right, we are not 100% sure he is using it, but as far as i can hear in his voice and how perfect he is singing everything i would say he is using autotune, but maybe im wrong who knows

I wouldn't put it behind him completely because as amazing as his singing is, he has been known to waver from time to time in other shows.

@JohnRock220 , patrick writes and plays music...that makes him a musician, and pat isnt the best singer ofcourse hes gonna used auto tune, and most singers do use it, they are still very good without it but better with it, and it doesnt make u any less of a musician. but if u abosolutley CANNOT sing and u use auto tune only for u to sound good then u are not a musician by any means..

lol... there's nothing to worry about. Patrick is a great singer. U r hearing it now becuz he is not jumping about the place like a kangaroo (even tho u doesnt really jump). which is y i think these performance (at soundstage) or the best quality i have ever heard from them. Cuz jumping does make them tired, which will affect their playing :)

Well if you compare the PBS soundstage stuff to their Live in Phoenix CD, they improved a LOT for sure.

it is true technically they are better but it's a rock show. it's not supposed to be perfect. high energy is part of their act. it's what drew people to them. while their later music is a lot more complicated they don't have to tone it down that much. like joe's sedated when they're playing sugar on soundstage! sugar is super easy!
