  • If you ask who has it harder flying the flyboys or the Marines/Navy.... your answer every time should be Marines/Navy..ergo we are tougher and kick more ass!!! GO NAVY!!

  • @SEacho31 Tell that to the Air Force's STO's and Pj's

  • @hurdleralltheway oh i have the laugh and take it in stride most agree

  • @SEacho31 Lol too bad your Marines dont think the same of you.

  • @SEacho31 Lol navys full of homosexuals get the fuck out of here you troll

  • @Cliffordclark91 Obviously the Marine Basic is a little bit more rigorous than this...but I think all service groups deserve equal respect from everyone.

  • @ItzDuckSauce Exactly.

  • @SEacho31 Marines are way too over-rated.

  • @MriKeepit1000Percent Oh Crap! I didnt realize it said Air Force ACADEMY! failure..

  • Why does it say class of 2012 when the video was made in 2009?

  • @RetroJaysFTW it is the class that will be graduating in 2012

  • @Kryonproductions yeah my fault, I thought this was a Basic Training Flight. lol, I suck

  • Teaching them officers how to ask stupid questions like "What were they doing to a gun at 0430 in the morning that caused it to jam?" or "Why aren't we flying if there's ice covering the airfield?" Go through OTS, and you lose all common sense and logical thinking.

  • I cant describe the emotions Im having just cant wait to go!! :)

  • 2:00 (:

  • how are they class of 2012 if the bmt is 8 weeks?

  • @SUPERrrCHRIS USAFA, these are officers so they are there for 4 years.

  • man officers have it hard fuck yall good job you now know how to go to college from your parents money

  • @Ccrewchief17 parent's money? The Air Force Academy is 100% free for cadets who attend. It's actually the tax-payers' money. Get your facts straight.

  • What's with the blue caps?

  • @wandfreak13 worn for basic training. Blue is the class color for 2012.

    2013 is silver

    2014 is red

    2015 is gold

after basic they wear the normal ABU caps

  • The whole comissioning process confuses me, as an ex-AF enlistee, I mean.. officers become officers because of their 4 year degree plus OTS, but these cadets do their 4 year degree while learning to be AF officers... is that 4 years of boot camp? Wow that would suck, I'd kill myself by the 3rd month lol.

  • 1:49 look at this dudes face lol

  • My son is class of 2012

  • GOOO GOO CHAIR FORCE!

  • AND ITS SO DISRESPECTFUL LISTENING TO PEOPLE ARGUE ABOUT WHAT BRANCH IS BETTER AND STUPID CHILDISH CONVERSATIONS BELOW....GROW UP AND BE PROUD TO BE PART OF THE UNTIED STATES MILITARY THAT WE'RE ALL IN TOGEHTER GOING THROUGH THE SAME THING.....

  • @britannUSAF0218 Its not disrespectful. Majority is all in fun, don't take branch rivalries so seriously. But I will say, we don't all go through the same thing...certain branches get it SO SO SO much easier than others. Some fight and kill and put our lives on the line, others sit and push papers.

  • why the blue baseball caps? even in basic at lackland your issued regular abu covers

  • @britannUSAF0218 I believe they do it by the color of each year, I know that the year that is just entering (Class of 2015) wears Gold caps because there class color is gold.. correct me if I'm wrong anyone

  • I went through airforce BMT NOV-JAN 10-11 and honestly after watching videos of cadet first days...those come nowhere close to what the first day of BMT is like, so for someone like me who has already gone through BMT and is going to try to get into the academy...its going to be cake

  • @thecureofcancer Yeah - 25 credit hours per semester with a core curriculum that takes you through differential equations, chemistry, physics and astronomy. People who graduate from the service academies are about 80% of the way to an engineering or science degree, even if their major is political-science. All while doing intramurals and facing inspections. Not your typical enlisted, AF dormie, Airman-No-Class experience. Have a little respect for the things you don't know.

  • @livininomaha yea and how about you have a little respect for the airforce that your clearly not in....if your gunna try and talk shit to someone whos in the airforce how about you TRY and make it through BMT...where the real training takes place.....im not going to be intimidated by someone whos two years older than me and has never had any military experience

  • @thecureofcancer I went to BMT as a cadet and worked hand in hand with a MTI. I'll give you that BMT is "harder" than BCT; however if one can finish BCT they can finish BMT. BCT curriculum is very similar to and derived from BMT yet there are things we did in BCT that isn't done in BMT. To challenge a cadet to TRY and make it through BMT is brash, how about YOU TRY to make it though USAFA.

  • @soccerguy2433 1. are we really going to keep arguing about this meaningless crap 2. if i get accepted to the academy then I WILL make it through

  • @thecureofcancer You going for 2016 like me? If so, best of luck.

  • @Skydivingkittens I wish you luck from the class of 2015!

  • you know it really bugs me how people say "go one branch over another" or "that branch sucks" ..clearly those people are fools who have no intention of serving. take it from someone who has been to meps and met with people from every branch. everyone has their own reasons for joining and every branch matters. not one person there says anything about branch superiority when you tell them what branch your going in your welcomed no matter what cause your all going to serve your country

  • Where does that bagpipe song in the beginning come from? Braveheart?

  • AF isnt real training, go Marines if you want to be trained to kill

  • @DJDoucheBagCaliin got that wrong man its go af or go home

  • @DJDoucheBagCaliin Anyone can pick up a gun and point n shoot.

  • @DJDoucheBagCaliin did you really just show disrespect to the United States Air Force?

  • @Wildcat1854 Its military rivalry dude, we will always give shit to the Air Force, Navy, Army and yall will do the same. But in a fighting hole, branch dont mean shit to anybody, it's all love and games with your fellow military brother, or sister.

  • @DJDoucheBagCaliin that is extremely disrespectful. i have had to train for all of the military academy's and they all use the exact same entrance test. these boys want to fly, so they go to the AF to learn how to fly and serve. what about that makes them " not trained" ? and our military isn't about killin people. its about serving our country to ensure that we as Americans can continue to live the way we live, either way you look at it. we all do our part. you do yours, and let them do theirs

  • @DJDoucheBagCaliin you say that now...but im pretty sure you wont be saying that when the airforce is savin your ass in the middle east

  • @thecureofcancer Thats what Navy Pilots are for.

  • @DJDoucheBagCaliin so your telling me that the airforce doesnt drop bombs or anything like that...tell that to all the people that are deployed from my squadron right now who are loading bombs and missles so the OUR pilots can drop them not fuckin navy pilots

  • @DJDoucheBagCaliin I would like you to say that to the face of a PJ or CCT..

  • im gonna be in the air force

  • Nazis

  • Congrats class of 2012!

Just one more year to g, Go Falcons!

  • Just one year guys, hold on!

  • @curevic read my question again please. I ask about AIR FORCE. Plus, i'm not American and not living in America to know all the things you know.

  • @curevic 1. have you ever seen a pilot that wear classes?

    2. Are you being called retarded when you ask about something you do not know?

    3. Would you call your grandpa retarded if he ask you how to turn on a computer or create a youtube/Facebook account?

  • @curevic do you have problem with my question?

  • Basic may not have been that hard, but the entire academy experience is when you throw academics in there and take into account that it is 4 years

  • new zealands atc(air training corps) is way better

  • appatently i made the wrong decision of goin enlisted instead of goin to the academy..that looks easy as hell..(sigh)...o well love the enlisted side

  • I think that dude shaved my head too..

  • Were they praying for their food? Hahaha that is sick!

  • Whats this "clas of 2012" horseshit?

  • i thought AF dont accept peeple that have eyes vision problem.

  • @thanh221248 they do, you just have A LOT less jobs to pick from then people with vision correctable to 20/20

  • i wanted to go to that school

but i screw it up :(

  • @luzanillajr well what te heck did you do?

  • @burningkid25 i always got on trouble in high school

  • Comment removed

  • The guy at the front at 2:27 ;) I wouldn't kick him outta bed ;D

  • Nice clip. I'm going basic Feb. 1st myself, nice video for a glimpse into the life though.

  • Lyrics "I'm not afraid to think on my own" "born to lead" hhahahahaha so ironic while showing a military training video! We all know the military loves people who think for themselves hahaahaha

  • @undeadpresident actually they do. it's what we get paid to do...basic training is a different story, but once it's over the inability to think outside the box and make decisions will hurt you in the military for sure.

  • @mthompson552 Yeah, sure, the military loves people who think freely, as long as they don't question the lies they are given for fighting in the first place. US government is run by transnational corporations who don't give a fuck about you or anyone else, and are stealing the wealth not only from the middle east but from the USA too. They control both parties and con you into thinking you have a choice by playing off of superficial prejudices, while screwing you from both sides.

  • @undeadpresident love it or leave it pussy

  • @undeadpresident : You are living proof that our thinking something is not the same as knowing anything. As a famous philosopher once said - a mind full of opinions leaves little room for wisdom.

  • God I wanna go here so bad....just like the other 10,000 people who will apply. :/

These are some of the smartest people on the planet.

  • Least they got some fresh mountain air unlike Lackland!!!

  • @MSTLOM yeah fresh mountain air at 7,258 feet. Try running in that!

  • @mthompson552 Not that hard, actually.

  • Holy crap, at 2:03 that Tsgt was my Section Supervisor at BMT enlisted BMT. Sgt Dessaro now a MSgt.

  • @ItsdeLay haha no way. He was my MTI for like a week at the 321st. Man such a small AF. crazy!

  • They call this basic? They're cadets instructing cadets.... it's like the blind leading the blind

  • Comment removed

  • @mthompson552 yeah you sound like one of the douche officers, yea you got it hard hahaha

  • Must be nice to get screamed at by Cadets 2 years older than you instead of seasoned NCOs..

  • @shoot2kill68 : As a former NCO and Officer, I can understand your point. But I also can understand why the Air Force Academy would use this approach, the Air Force Academy probably sees BCT as a leadership laboratory and this level of training should be manageable by senior cadets. It is also indicative of the fact that the Air Force is the youngest of the military brances and is not held to the same traditions as the Navy or Army.

  • @shoot2kill68 Haha trust me bro, just finished up basic. There are PLENTY of NCO's watching your every move

  • I'm already dreading graduating the Academy and I haven't even been accepted yet...

  • I wanna join the Academy, (I'm a Junior)( 3.0Gpa) I live in Virginia :)...so what the elevation make a lot of difference to me during my physical activities?

  • @Silasizhere well colorado springs elevation is well over a mile high so u will seem out of breath quicker while exercising. I live here, and when I went to california for baseball, i was able to run like all day! so im assuming the opposite would be for u.

  • @Silasizhere Have fun getting in, maybe you should consider going for the Corps at Tech... I think you'll be more likely to get in. 3.0 GPA is pretty much crap now. Plus they put out the next highest amount of officers next to CS

  • @Silasizhere yes it would that's why they really don't accept people who are not in school sports.

  • i disagree with you violent, my officers get dirty right with us, OREs, ORIs. My Lt Col vacuums his office. A GOOD officer won't leave you behind! I work with GREAT officers.

  • i think this is the first and last time i will ever see officers get their hands dirty. why do you all train like this when i haven't seen any on of them use these skills

  • How can I get into the Air Force Academy? Im a junior in high school and have a 3.0GPA at the moment...

  • @SpyOpz94 Graduate high school, get your High School Diploma. Talk to a local recruiter and find what sort of job you want in the military, then take the ASVAB to see what jobs you can work. Then, Take the military oath, and you will be transported to Basic.

  • @44Unoriginal44 My ultimate goal would be to become a Fighter Jet Pilot... But I'm pretty sure that the only way that would happen is if I went to the USAFA right?

  • @SpyOpz94 Pretty much. Air Force is the main branch you'll have to join if you want to fly anything. If you're looking to be a pilot you must have 20/20 vision and be pretty short and mildly skinny. Take that into consideration man, I was too tall to fly myself.

  • @44Unoriginal44 I had 15/20 vision last time I was at the eye doctor which was less then 6 months ago, and weigh in at around 135lbs... Im around 5'9".

  • @SpyOpz94 You might be eligible to become a pilot then! Just try not to gain much more weight, and don't deteriorate your vision and you should be fine. It's a hard route though man. Survival school is tough as nails stuff, and you'll be putting your life on the line for your country. I hope you get in, and I hope you enjoy it man.

  • @44Unoriginal44 Thanks for the information and guidance.

  • @44Unoriginal44 You don't have to be short or skinny at all to be a pilot.

  • mcnallyrd3: I went to the AF Academy and my roommate during Basic Training was actually prior enlisted. She said that enlisted basic training is more tedious, meaning you have to do more small, seemingly meaningless tasks. She said there was far less physical training in enlisted basic. We did A LOT of physical training at the Academy. Also, the girls are not segregated at all except for dorm rooms and bathrooms at USAFA.

  • I hears alot bout some new fangled thingamajig comin outta R&D and says the rifle bout shoots by itself. All the expensive fancy stuff works and I thinks it's dummin down our troops. I can just hears it now after the EMP "hey all lectronic systems is down and the batteries dont work, now whatta we do?". Don't make me no nevermind. Remember, ball and patch, ball and patch w/iron sights.

  • Im from Brazil the best school for war in world

  • My daughter would like to attend the Air Force Academy when she finishes high school. This video gave me a much better idea of what Cadet Basic Training will be like than the mostly text descriptions on the USAFA website.

  • @ustopgun1 As they are, not too competitive. In order to be accepted, you need a congressional recommendation. That's the short answer, if you really want to know, call a recruiter.

  • this doesnt look much different then enlisted BMT. im just curious how much of a difference is there? it looks like for the most part we do alot of the same training.

  • man that haircut at the beginning looked so pleasant, just try getting one at actual basic. they pretty much take some of your scalp with the hair

  • i get nervous every day wondering if i will get into the academy

  • Comment removed

  • To be on the airforce academy cadet, do I first need to be in the airforce???

Or can I start my carrer in the airforce going to the academy ?

  • @JuelzZantana The AFA is a four year college. After you graduate, you owe the AF 5 years of service for your education. You can go into the Academy right after Highschool.

  • @Eberlz0 Oooh wow, I thought it was easier, I guess ill just join the AF and not the AFA

  • @JuelzZantana YOU DON'T JUST JOIN THE AIR FORCE ACADEMY. YOU are appointed because of your academic, leadership and athletic abilities. And because you have requested an appointment through your local Congressman's office. The academy will accept you so long as you commit to giving 100% of your effort in every single endeavor they demand of you. NOW COVER DOWN AND FALL OUT !

  • @292x1 OOh wow really ??? I din't knew thankz 4 the info. it was really helpfull

  • Woooot! Can't wait to commission in 2012!

  • My friend (is 4 years older than me) got in and he had a 3.8 GPA 32 on the the ACt and national merit scholar on SAT. If you are really smart you can get in. it is tough but not undoable

  • still got a few years but the academy is where im aiming. :) nice video dude.

  • After basic training is it just like anyother college?

  • @J0HNS0N21 no, not in the slightest bit.

for instance, as of today, i cannot cross the hallway and cannot make right turns...so i must make three left turns to turn right and walk all the way down the hallway while greeting everyone i pass (rank, name, job) just to get to the other side of the hallway.....

  • @J0HNS0N21

    Nope.

  • My boyfriends away for bootcamp rightnow, i'm pretty worried about him but this video made me feel alittle better, thanks :D very well done

  • is everyone interviewd to get accepted?

  • this is awesome, i cant wait to go here!!!

Im in HighSchool CLASS OF 2012!

    !!

  • @EliteAirMan lol and yet your name is elite airman and your not a airman?

  • @EliteAirMan mee too!

  • @EliteAirMan Hey dude, so am I!!!!!!! I am getting in shape now for it!!!!!!

  • there is a guy flashing satanic hand symbols...

  • @YAHWEHisperfect the Pentagon is the headquarters for the US military and guess what...if you connect the dots it forms a Pentagram, ALSO a Satanic symbol! And don't forget the pentagram formed by the streets of Washington DC either, or the fact that the Washington Monument is 6665 inches high. Just coinci-Dunce? Or how about the fact that the Pentagon has systematically overthrown governments which exercise autonomy from the USA ever since it's birth, usually under false pretexts?

  • LOVE BOOTCAMP GLASSES. they never change do they?

  • the helms look like a nazi helm.

  • @TheProxmods and the USA behaves like a Nazi state.

  • @TheProxmods I'm guessing it's the PASGT helmet, which has a resemblance to the German Army Helmet. Just don't even listen to undeadpresident, the German Army Helmet could have inspired the PASGT, just like the M1 Helmet (the US helmet used in WWII) inspired other countries' helmets.

  • Thank the lord for the United States Marine Corps.

  • I was there its awesome

  • @ustopgun1 keep a 3.5 GPA or higher to join USAF :)

  • Comment removed

  • @ustopgun1 eh. you need a 3.99 GPA or higher. im going to start next year. I have a 4.0 gpa have 4 varsity letter 2 from jrotc and have done almost 600 Community service hours.

  • @DaemonicPact666 No you need a 3.5 GPA or higher.

  • whats with marine cadence being in a an airforce vid?

  • i leave for basic in 1 week!!!! lol

  • those damn cadets yelling at u and trying to break u down dont have shit on the worst MTI. damn officers thinking theyre hardcore like enlisted.

  • @CALMlikeAB0MB619 no shit from what i can tell basic year at the academy looks like a joke compared to BMT btw i was 323 u?

  • @iriluu second to none come get some! haha. 322nd.

  • All just a game.....I would hate to get yelled at by some pussy ass senior that thinks he's all that, when really he's just a pussy ass nerd. Yeah and IdolHans you're right where are all the airframes? It sucks the AF is goin to UAVs. I would be pissed if I went through the academy and didn't get a pilot job...want other reason is there to join?

  • how is this the class of 2012 its 2010

  • @tranft13 You dumbass. You must be in elementary school. Class of 2012 means they graduate in 2012. Exact same thing in High School, which is why I said you must be a little kid.

  • @tranft13 Because they graduate in 2012.

  • doesnt look too easy!!

  • Haha, you see how miserable these basic cadets look, all depressed and whatnot. . .but I'd give anything to be in their boots

  • @kimchiotaku must taste bitter before sweet.

  • I hope these people have jobs after graduation. Right now the AF is cutting officer billets---2 dozen are getting the shaft and are being told they have to repay the cost of their education. Too many officers and not enough billets. Not enough flying jobs. were losing a lot of airframes---the F117, the F15, B-1's, some A model C-5's,

  • @IdolHans pretty sure thats not true man. If the AF is cutting ppl they're getting the golden handshake and they don't have any military obligation

  • @streakjet5 Go read the AF Times ----I saw an article where a group of newly comissioned butterbars were being told no comissioned billet for you and to add insult to injury they presented them with a bill for their education---and we all know how much that costs the taxpayer. I think there will be fewer real rated billets in future---more UAV's / non-rated billets. They have retired a lot of airframes with more on the way. Not enough C-17 and F-22/F-35 eggs in the basket.

  • this video is labeled weird, it is the academy or basic training haha

  • @0587dave what are you talking about? It's labeled just fine

  • im in 8th grade. i want to go here so bad after high school. i am going to study my balls off and get everything i need to go here i dont care what it takes.

  • @lonesoldier96 With that mindset, you will go very far. Keep at it!

  • @lonesoldier96 rite back at ya man cant wait

  • Damn, props to cadets, I though 8.5 weeks was bad; I don't think I could do four years of hell.

  • im not dissing the air force but im just gunna say that the marines are waaayyy more hardcore

  • kool i love the air force; but marines kick azz ! lol

  • Rules of military cafeterias: Sit, Eat, Get the fuck out

  • Gerd at 0:15!!!!!

  • marine corps is better

  • @6669523 do you offer college credit for simply learning your job?

  • @6669523 at what?

  • all of them have to get a letter from a senator. meaning the are in the top percent of there high school class. so ya they are smart.

  • why do all new officers look like such nerds?
