Shibas are originally from the mountains of Japan. They are completely unfazed by cold weather. In the winter he will lounge outside on a snowbank for hours. Often, he doesn't even want to come inside.
Great videos! Our shiba is awesome, but definitely doesn't like heights or walking in to deep water at all. She will swim... with some "encouragement" from us, and she does do okay off leash on trails as long as there aren't to many hikers/random dogs or packs of small children around. When she gets spooked on a trail she'll run straight back to the car, even if it is quite a ways away... so she gets the leash when cars are around.
