  • @Mejevoli It is not exactly my "Cup of tea". Don't really like the eye candy so i can turn that feature off... but it is not the same as vista... yeah i know the flop, was my favorite windows OS. Like the middle child between XP and 7. But XP is the one i miss the most, it was light and simple.

  • I really need a reply asap:

I see that you are using the Win CD from DELL computer?

So does it mean we can use recovery discs to install? My old comp comes with 5 discs: 1 System Disc(Bootable) and 4 Recovery discs.

Is this also possible on XYZ (some new mac)? - OFC.

Is this also possible with Linux? - No, bootcamp is a windows installer.

Will I be able to get rid of Windows again? - OFC.

Will my games run good on mac? - Depends on Hardware.

Do I need to have an original copy of Windows? OFC.

    ...

  • @skii4life1995

I have only used Linux and Windows but no this shouldn't slow down your main OS

sometimes after switching from one OS to an other it might be a bit slow but for a minute

  • you actually allowed 102GB on the Mac OSX it said 61GB Free.

  • HELP! So this is what i get why i try it partition

The disk cannot be partitioned because some files cannot be moved.

  • @webkinzcrazers when you were opening your computer, in the box that says designed by apple in California in the everything else box, get the applications install dvd

  • @DoubleDeez18 i installed it but when i type in boot camp in finder, it says i dont have it :(

  • @webkinzcrazers click finder on your dock, then applications on the side of finder, go down to the bottom, click utilities, then see if bootcamp is in there,if not, i cant help you anymore, sorry, call apple

  • I got the windows xp disc and key from recovery-disks(dot)com. You need to call them because its not added on the site directly.

  • hey guys, does anyone know if you can play windows games on this windows-mac version?

  • @lucasauces lol yes that's the whole point, to play games on windows. 'cause mac don't got a wide selection on game compatibility

  • @joshuarocks102 u can google for a key.

but if anything just register it later and look for a windows 7 activator.

  • Shit man, I accidentally clicked dislike, but this video helped me alot.

  • i cant do it because it says:

The disc can not be divided into partitions, because some files can not be moved.

Back up the disk and use Disk Utility to format the disk as a volume structure Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Put the data back to the drive and run Boot Camp Assistant again.

could it be otherwise without the hard disk format?

  • Same tricks with Ubuntu :P

  • to do this you need discs am i correct?

if so, does apple give you windows discs when you buy your mac?

or to run any kind of bootcamp, even xp do you need to shell out $100+ for the discs?

or can you put on windows 7 or xp totally free?

    THANKS SO MUCH!

  • @talkaboutownage No, you need a seperate disc for windows 7/xp/vista or any other version. You need a disc, you can't get it from apple...... yup.. yeah.

  • What's up guys. I just switched from pc to a mac. I got a MacBook pro And I installed windows 7 using bootcamp. How can I switch OS withouth having to shut down the laptop and hold the " option" key to see the 2 OS at start. Up.? Is there any program or software to be able to do this.? Thanks in advance.

  • you should only use windows through bootcamp for gaming purposes only and use the mac side for internet watching movies and stuff because if you download something through xp that has a virus your whole pc is infected.

  • @GIocks the only reason anyone with snow leopard would get microsoft 7 is to play games on their favorite computers.

  • when running windows can you download a program and if you do so would you get viruses on the mac?

  • @GIocks because he can't run window's and osx on a window's laptop and the quality of window's laptop's isn't near as good as a mac.

  • So do I have to have SnowLeopard disk & a Windows disk?

  • Mac: You can install Windows on our Macs! || Cool! Can we install Mac OS on PCs? || Mac: No. That'd be illegal. || :( Fail.

  • Why the mac didn´t ask the CD-KEY???

  • @BuZhido100 the original windows xp sp3 doesnt have the old activation process. you can install like windows 7 30 day trial.

windows xp sp3 volume license ask for the key.

  • @RandomDoomsday15 not a bad thing just means your getting a better laptop then us who already got it, tell me how it is when u get it buddy ! ;-)

  • why not just use vmware fusion and run windows apps on mac instead of having to log off and out all the time to use windows apps wine is also good

  • @zitianaki Because vmware fusion costs too much compared to this method.

  • @blakester331 free is good but it means you have to keep logging in and out every time you need to use a windows app...

  • @zitianaki

VMware is laggier and while i'm running windows, i really wouldn't go back between the two.

  • it says its an error with the cd look at disk utility ive got a MacBook Pro Intel HELP ME PLEASE

  • i forgot my log in password what should i do?reformat?i cant acess desktop.plz help

  • lalallala

  • i have only one question does this work with snow leopard?

  • about the windows xp installation disk: can i use my Reinstallation CD Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Including Service Pack 1 that came with my Dell? if not, please tell why and any problems the bootcamp installation might encounter

  • @adhuxley No It has to be at least Service Pack 2 and it cant be a re installation disk

  • @MrLarky96 Hi there! I'm about to buy a MBP, and I'll be using Mac OS about 80% of the time, and will only really be using Windows for gaming. Does it matter how large the Windows side is? Like, will gaming performance be better when Windows side has, say, 60gb instead of 30gb? Or does 'size not matter'?

Also, one other question. Can you change the partition once it has been made?

    Thanks for your help!

  • @Pokemongo1 Yeah well you need room to install your games so i think at least 60GB for FSX it depends how many games you are running, I have the 500GB so i have 120GB for Windows, work out how much GB all your games will take up and add on about 10gb for the actual Operating System e.g. windows XP takes up 7 GB

  • @Pokemongo1

it shouldnt. Just make sure there is enough space for the game you are installing. As long long you have a decent amount memory, RAM, then it should run ok.

  • @Pokemongo1 I doubt you will need 30GB for gaming you only use 20% of the time. I gave mine 40GB downloaded xp and all my games, and i still have over 30gb left.

  • @MrLarky96 Um, where did you get this information? You can most definitely use the reinstallation disk, as i have. You shouldn't give people faulty or false information unless you know 100%.

  • what if windows isnt oem its not authentic lol

  • i got an error "the disk cannot be partitioned because some files cannot be moved"

  • thats because you need to make some room on the hard drive

  • how do i get the windows though lol

  • @MakaVeliBoi by a copy of win xp on amazon for like $40

  • there wast any need for so much talking.. im dieing here..

  • @mrfourtysevenman the technologically impaired

  • shut the hell up u idiot

  • at least i'm smarter than you so shut the fuck up and let the adults handle things.

  • Fat 32 is able to read and write what that NTFS can't?

  • that xp is from a dell..... when you install it then, um... it's going to want you to activate it, but it's going to say that you didn't put in a product key at the beginning, so if you try to use any product key you got with that disk, it won't work... well at least with the Home Edition version

  • stop talking so much am like crying right now

  • oh man stop talking so much get to the point already, for real you working on my nerves
