Most people here are right. He should have come in with flaps up. Also, when i fly a plane with reteracts, i only lower the gear AFTER i come over the threshold and i know i CAN land, as then there is less risk of damaging one more thing.

Say all you want, but this guy clearly isn't used to jets with their terrible glide. And he seems to take the hobby a little seriously judging by his reaction. I know, they cost a few k, but it's crashing is just part of the hobby. You burn it or fix it.

Most clubs have a membership of 25 to 50 members. Of those, 5 to ten fly regular. Of those, at least 5 do 80% of the work.

It wouldn't take more than 5 guys, just an afternoon and a bit to clear THEM DANG TREES AND SHRUBS AWAY, ONCE AND FOR ALL.
