Rayman 1 was set in "Rayman's world"

Rayman 2 was set in "The glade of dreams" thats where the tensies and lums first existed...

Rayman 3 was set in "Uhmm I don't know exactly :P" characters from rayman 2 existed here so It might be in the glade of dreams too..

Rayman origins is suppose to be from the original but... why are there tensies? lol

Actually, they decided to set it after Rayman 1. It's in the Glade of Dreams instead. They want to connect 1 and 2 with the presence of elements from both.

I read about the Vita version of the game, it said something like this: "The PS Vita version has exclusive content, such as a new ghost race mode, as well as a new collectible called 'relics', which unlock videos that tell the story of Rayman's true origins". I suppose those "videos" are the cutscenes from the original build of the game, before it was made a retail title and the story was redone.
