The volume with my posts is a bit of an issue. I've had trouble with the hardware I'm using from the start. Push it up too much and it gets distorted and I'm already recording at it's limit. There's probably something I'm missing but over 1000 posts in it feels like a bit late to change.
Thanks. A very obscure release that I was lucky to get a hold of before it went out of print. Just a case of being in the right place at the right time ;)
I had this12 inch back in the 80s. This went out of circulation quick. A buddy of mine took a crate of my prized wax to Howard U. and claimed that his room was burglarized. On the real, I think he had it all along! Tried seriously to get this again, but it never went back in circulation. Indeed, this is a very eccentric and obscure John Robie production. This was definitely a Detroit Banger in 84!
Over the years i've fought to keep my records in my possession. Many moves, some overseas, but I've still got them all (almost). Over the years a few have disappeared to friends, a few have been lost and a few have been broken but otherwise they're all still there. They no longer take pride of place in the living room but my records and I have been demoted to the storage room. Lucky enough the storage room is big enough that I have my turntables set up and can still play them.
@houzbizness303 I've just recently got a couple of crates back from a friend who held on to them for about 7 years. Never again! I'll make them a CD or upload tracks to their MP3 player, but wax is off limits indefinitely; non negotiable!
Eccentric for sure, not too many DJ's would or even still play this version. I've always heard the AH-AH-HI version played...I would always play this version.
I've always gone for the version too. An eccentric track with a some bizarre sound effects and quite unlike anything else from that time. I had also posted the more down tempo 'Love Torn' from the same 12" but it seems to have been taken down?
GREAT TRACKS ON YOUR PAGE. CAN YOU PLEASE PLEASE RECORD ANY FUTURE POSTINGS A LITTLE LOUDER? THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT MUSIC
