It was not a dragon ball movie .. but for a movie it was ok. If they would have named it anything else it woulda been good. It's called evolution because Akira Toriyama wanted a more.. recent styled setting. Yes he helped write the script and helped with the creative development. Also why does everyone keep saying dbz... Dragon ball was out way before DBZ, this movie is before DBZ, and would be more of the dragon ball time frame. The guy who did yamcha though was spot on.

The trailer doesnt do this movie justice. The effects are actuly not as bad as they look o.o. I am a fan of DBZ but this isnt even DBZ. Its more like Dragon Ball when Goku first learns of his race and whatnot. I'm guessing the reason for Goku being the only American in the movie is becuase the movie takes place in Japan, Where he would be an alien should he go there. By no means am i trying to be offensive. o.o But yeah...Think of it as a Kung Pow meets Mortal Kombat.

okay i think this is made so even people who don't know what dbz is can still watch and enjoy it without having to know any previous info on the dragon ball series i think this is more of an interpitation by writers who have to take a chunk out of the dragon ball series and place it into a full length film for all to enjoy but much of a discredit to the original anime but we can agree its only the dragon ball series wich was good and hope they don't mess up a dbz live action film.
