I wonder what the wild speculation was about Kirk vaporizing in the STVI trailer.
Considering that a lot of people knew this would be the last original series movie, some people must have expected kirk to die or the enterprise to be destroyed.
The THX JBL specification was originally 13KW and the new THX JBL sound system today is a staggering 56KW! Making the Empire the most powerful THX cinema in the whole of Europe!
A few year later I saw the last 70mm showing of Star Trek film Star Trek VI in Dolby stereo SR type THX at the same cinema Empire Leicester square, three times on Friday February 14th 1992. Also I was invited in the projection booth that was out of this world, fitted with cold laser and used to showcase the Empire Leicester square as one of the best cinema presentations anywhere in the United Kingdom.
I Saw all 5 Star Trek films in a THX sound system cinema at the world famous Empire Leicester Square as part of Star Trek marathon day back on Sunday October 8th 1989 in Dolby stereo optical A type and 70mm six-track Dolby stereo A and SR type the sound was huge the emotion was far better with THX that catapulted the bass and sub bass beyond 100 top home cinemas or home theatres. Now then!
Thanks for watching? Well you're welcome!
