  • how many gallons is your tank?

  • @hien949 It's actually 48

  • thats weird my red parrott is so non aggressive its been in a tank with fantails for the last year and they are more aggressive than him.

  • do you know parrot fish has teeth in its mouth

  • Yup, I was bitten multiple times by her while changing the gravel filters.

  • If it's still on the small side you probably can add some fish. I did when mine were small. I have a rainbow fish, moonlight gourami, red tailed shark fish (which are quite long now). As I said add fish that will be good sized and can't be eaten.

  • i just got one, but mine isnt aggresive at all..does anyone know, can these fish be with any other breed of fish other than cichlids?

  • nice check mine out

  • Have you ever owned a parrot? Who is the victim? It's a cross between a gold severum and a red devil, they are great fish and they have no problems, they still need a good home...not buying them is worse.

  • hehe it's a good thing that she's not afraid of you and not shy like most parrot fish. btw, she's a cutie and your tank looks very nice :)

  • hehe do that with a flower horn and shrimp. i have a 12 inch flower horn very very large on i hold a gold fish outa the water it jumps literly a foot out of the water and grabs it. some times it only grabs partial goldfish and i have half a goldfish flopping in my hand

  • Flower horns have amazing color Variations

  • wow your parrot so agressive love to watch her jump lol.

    nice one bro...,

need to ask you guys something. should i put a friends for my fish? coz she just alone on the tank.coz i notice parrots fish are live individual i mean they dont grouping...or whatever you call lol (dont know how to describe it :p ) . if im not wrong ?.

any idea ? should or not ?

  • Hey man....to answer your question, just stop by my page and check out my 6 Parrots. They actually do better in groups, and love to play together, dig and even keep a family structure. In some groups you will see one fish dominate all the others, and protect them. Like a dad!

  • i have that too in one of my tanks!! 6 is a good number

  • i have the same fish^^

  • they're so cool!!! mine is always hiding and always scared of me. I cant help it. I even bought a lot of tetras as dither fish but it wont help

  • I only did that once so i could get it on camera (dont want to stress them) I'll ask my mom if i can use her camera again so i can film the fry some and put them up.
