  • My SHG does code-3 instead of marchtime.

  • For some reason this fire alarm sound reminds me of the Spiny shell alert in Mario Kart Wii/Mario Kart 7. :-P

  • ow

  • There Are 4 Jumper Slots On An SHG, And 3 Jumpers, What Jumper Slot Is Not Covered To Make It March Time, Mine Has Temporal

  • we have thease alrm at my school but they sound like a commmander 3

    horn

  • i cant the steady tone it gives me headaches

  • Use one of these in the next system test.

  • They Have This At MY School But Go ERRRRRRRRR! Would you please tel me what kind of alarm it is?

  • @DannyVids11 SHG's can make all sorts of noises depending on the sizo=e and amount of echo the is in the room.

  • From looking at KETV video of the Douglas County Court house I cant tell what horn they have but I know the strobes are mounted seperate then the horns. Some next to the horns and some away from the horns and they are the Gentex strobes similar to this one.

  • Sounds like a very high pitched frog almost.

  • I do know the Omaha court house has this horn strobe as they were shown in the KETV news report about false alarms in the court house. Since in Fall of 07 they had 3 false alarms mainly by someone intentionally pulling the fire alarm.

  • I like the older SHG horns.

  • hey umm this is the same alarm but it goes ERRRRRRRRRR and never stops the errr can u tell me wat kind it is?

  • My School Has The Same ContinuNoing alarms

  • same fire alarm diffrent sound

  • Thats the same one I have at my middle school!

  • where do you buy fire alarms?also wont they call the fire department?if not how dont they?

  • @BossIJeff He buys them off Ebay and maybe got a few from old systems, and no, they don't call the fire department because 1. he doesn't have a panel connected to it and 2. he has his panel set to NOT call the fire department.

  • What time period was this horn/strobe manufactured? It sounds like its from the 80s but the strobe looks more like the mid to late 90s. I stayed at a Days Inn last weekend with the same horn/strobes in the main part of the building but the front desk area had Wheelock NSs with more modern pull stations. The rest of the building still had the 1970s pull stations.

  • @MrWill1985 The date code on the back says 1995.

  • @soccerdude7330 thx. I did notice from the look of the strobes it was the 90s the SHG was made around. Since I dont think strobes from the 80s and before had clear covers on them. Many had white covers on them during the 80s. The 70s I dont think they were strobes. I think the lights were just lights that light up when the fire alarm went off. Either red lights or white lights. I honestly like the strobes with the clear covers the best.

  • These were in the Condo I was staying in in Colorado.

  • @WesleyConoway better then some of the newer alarms

  • There is a Gentex horn/strobe on the 6th floor at Mall Towers, the local high-rise, which looks like this. Is there a way to tell visually, whether it is an SHG/GOS electronic horn/strobe, or a GMS electromechanical horn/strobe?

  • Sounds AWESOME on marchtime! And the paint looks great too.

  • have the same alarm but how do you do march time on it

  • Nice.

  • I know. Right?

  • set them all off at once :P

  • cool!

  • howss do you know when it was manufactured

  • It's printed on a tag on the back of the device.

  • i wonder what they do with old fire alarms when they replace them

  • Hey Charlie, any system tests coming out soon?

  • System Test 17 is coming soon, no set date yet

  • Cool beans.
