  • A man's word can never express the intention of a one.

... However, the music he creates can.

  • i wish my speakers could play this better

  • A real fact is that " What is truly beauty, it's short spanned"

Years Active 2000-2010, coze of death Franz Vonlichten

  • they are born(E.S Posthumus)

  • The only problem with this song is that it ends too early. Not saying that to be witty either, it literally needs one more verse. It's a great song regardless, but one more verse of those amazing vocals would have made it -perfect-.

  • At first it sounds like someone just died. . . then it gets mysterious.

  • anyone else (that has played Golden Sun anyway) think this would've suited Harapa perfectly?

  • @TwilightKun4 Dude, word! lol

  • Guys stop making stupid comments and listen to the music.

  • I love how they have formed both classical and electronical together, both my favourite types of music, espically classical. E.S Posthumus are amazingly talented :3

  • love this but what r they singing? lyrical content

  • @everyonehatingontianang77 He's right; music should be appreciated based on the talent required to compose it. Especially these beautiful sounds. You can't deny you don't like this; you came here yourself, but even if you do, you should appreciate it because it was difficult to make. Mainstream songs take only some recording studio and a voice to create. And in case all else fails, 66 people agree with him. How many are you? 5? Or is that your age?

  • @marekiller8

THANK YOU. I was starting to think I was surrounded by morons.....glad to know someone gets it.

  • GTA 3 Sent me Here!

  • This sounds like the calm before the storm, the moment of epic quiet before a battle........No argueing about how much any music sucks, Posthumus is awesome to me, if another person doesnt like it (*tears up*) its that person's opinion, if i dont like what they like its my opinion, but no one should bash each other's music so hatefully

  • why does this seem like something that would be played in a castilvania game?

  • @TheKazilla because you are a simple man, who cannot perceive things outside the scope of videogames.

  • @plechazunga00000 wow, little far there dont you think buddy? i have only played castlevania a couple times, i dont even own it. i was just saying that because thats what this song reminds me of: a creepy castle with some evil guy inside then some 'hero' coming in to save the day.but i guess because you called me a man that what you said has no effect on me.Im a girl i think its funny when people think they are more sophisticated just because they are listening to music that touches their soul.

  • can u all plz stop saying THIS SHUD BE POPULAR MILEY CYRUS SHOULDNT BE POPULAR!!! when ure all probably just downloaded these E.S posthumus albums and what makes a band turn mainstream is album sales. not a bunch of nerds saying omg this ROX!! on youtube....

go buy it ffs!!! and stop thinking its liek sooo lame that these guys arent in the charts or on the radio. They are in movies, trailers, tv shows. it doesnt SUIT the radio 90% of listeners wanna hear pop or rock not fukin soundtrack music.

  • I see my wife belly dancing to this.

    So smoothe.

  • I work out to E.S. Posthumus. Makes me feel like I'm in 300 or something.

  • @charmclover1 HAHA, same thing! Too bad my headphone broke today!

  • It always amuses me to hear non musicians arguing about music.

  • @MrJuno6 arrogant much? music is something that everyone appreciates. you don't have to be a musician in order to discuss music...

  • @MrJuno6 or anyone arguing about anything in which they aren't a part of

  • @MrJuno6

    Amused?

You sound like you mean that just because you don't master an artform practically yourself, you dont have the right to critisize it or have opinions about it, strange.

  • @MrJuno6 Simpletons. >:p

  • Justin what?..sorry man, i only hear real good music...like E.S. Posthumus

  • Is Posthumus pronounced as it looks??

  • @JulianneSaysHi [POST-hue-muss]

  • this is one of the worst ES posthumus songs ive heard (in my opinion) but it is still better than 97% of every other song out there. Even their wrost is still better

  • @syto300 "I disagree with you saying it's the worst, cause I see this as an equal to Pompeii."

  • @syto300 It needs more didgeridoos. A whole army of didgeridoos!

  • rap isnt really music, just offensive lyrics with a beat

  • @DrKnockOut99 I see you've listened to enough to not make a blanket insult to the whole genre. Well done.

  • @ThePersonofComents I wasnt calling out the whole genre (it was my mistake not to specify what kind of rap) It can be awsome, but unfortunatly only a select few have melody and deep meaning in it that doesnt have to do with sex, drugs etc. wish more rappers get would get more creative than just rapping about that stuff all the time

  • I like this group, their music is awesome! but I'm tired of seeing people dissing on rap music. rap music is the trending fad, not to mention it's pretty legit. es posthumus and classical music have very little or no lyrics. rap is just a beat(s) mixed with rhymes. and they have meaning to them. not all music by lil wayne, t-pain, emenim, drake, T.I., and soulja boy are all about drugs, sex and crime. they have deep meaning. espcially tupac....now let all the hate comments pile up lol

  • @MMHSFootballNetwork

Not too many people know that underground hiphop is a thriving inside culture of the genre with actual skill in every aspect, and instead, pick apart the people they hear on the radio. For the latter, I don't blame them personally. I can't even really listen to the radio for any music genre nowadays... This though, is on a whole 'nother level

  • @mccoyca112 I hear ya brother

  • Comment removed

  • What is wrong with so many people? Why do they keep buying rap music and not this genius work of art? Radio stations should suddenly play this song (or other ones like Immediate music or TSFH), I think a lot of people should stop talking or whatever, and just stare at their radios...completely overwhelmed by the music

  • @MsExplodingapples I called the local station during their request hour and requested "Arise by E.S. Posthumus"...

They got calls of complaint afterward and never took my calls

  • @AtlasSniperman they actually played it?

  • I feel like making my own country, banning all that rap and pop garbage and have my people become intelectuals and listen only to classical, orchestral, E.S Posthumus, and other stuff of that variety. And maybe some house music, because classical does get a bit boring after you listen to it for too long.

  • @ByouDanseiKamiEnSai Get out of my head!!! lol

  • This is a great song, this particular song is more of a darker themed song, it could very well fit a more serious sadder film, not saying that this is meant to be a sad song just a good suggestion though :)

  • i'll just have to add this to my favorites

  • @Unsabled Ive done that a long time ago

  • @elisei00

    No. Just. No

  • @elisei00 Fuck off and die, please.

  • @elisei00 Thank god that your account is terminated.

  • The epic death scene. ;( lol

  • these songs make your intelligence increase and your heart grow

    they heal hurray!!

  • nice piece of music

  • Really like the didgeridoo on the background, This E.S. Posthumus has some epic pieces.

  • ES posthumus has some interesting songs, some of which take a while to get into, yet I will say they are perhaps the most innovative musical group that takes modern music with a classical style. This song reminds me of a classic theme of a game centered around soviet Russia. all in all, I am very very very very very sad that E.S. Posthumus wont be producing anymore, they brought me out of modern shit music and into story telling through instrumentals.

  • Many movie trailers use ES Posthumus' music. This one was used for xXx (2002).

  • Perfect music for some kind of cyberpunk or future new world order movie. It's this perfect blend of orchestral and modern electronica.

  • What I like about Posthumus is that their songs actually give power to the listener.

  • @Tikvanaya While I agree with you, I think all music can be thought of as empowering. It really depends on the individual.

  • @Tikvanaya u say actually like no other music does that. All music empowers people. Thats why we as a species love music and why its still aroudn and were still making it today. If you mean because its instrumental, it gives the listener more freedom to use the music for what they want it for, then yes, its unique in its giving of power. But simply empowering? ALL music does it and u should learn the correct words to express how it makes YOU feel so u dont look like an idiot.

  • @Tikvanaya yeah the power to study for all my classes lol.. oh the motivation

  • does anybody know what original piece is at the beginning of the song?? i want to find that song as well. It's excellent!

  • @jimisvoodoochild This *is* the original piece. There may be songs like it, but that exact beginning portion is part of this song.

  • Why do they have to create such music in which there must be a new word invented to describe it

  • Love this type of music aka homework music xD

  • This music gives me the image of dancing with a beautiful woman in a ancient egytian barial tomb with torches surrouning her, its beautiful, sad and immortal in a way.

  • i feel like this song would be played fighting a giant snake boss in a legend of zelda game

  • @jacob98910 same here man

  • So calming and peaceful! This makes me feel as if I am breaking loose of all my vanities in this world and being lifted up to the sky to be one with the gods in harmony!

  • i think i just found new awesome music to be a fan of... ^_^

  • Armenian Duduk is amazing at the end

  • 3 people have no taste in music

  • @Rikaflare dude, i so want this entire album... ^_^ wish i had itunes credits to buy this... :-( or purchase the CD from best buy or something...

  • @Rikaflare dude, there are even more, believe me ;) but who cares? we have the taste!

  • @Rikaflare your comment cracked me up lol

  • Whenever there is someone in the world kicking major ass(in slow-motion, of course), this song needs to be playing.

  • science fiction

  • This reminds me of Perfect Dark music

  • My own newfound sources of good music are E.S.Posthumus and Two Steps From Hell.)))

  • Most of E.S.Posthumus songs is used in Polish Got talent.

    That's from where I founded E.S.Posthumus. Greetings!

It's very beautifull. Now Posthumus is my no.1 of the best music.

  • I shall have sex to one of these songs . . . one day lol

  • Phht, everyone's been mentioning what this song reminds them of and they're all so lame.

If anything E.S Posthumus' work invokes a sense of the ancient world, as powerful and as beautiful as the remains of a once glorious civilization.

The same feeling you'd get in the presence of the pyramids or the parthenon.

Anyway, does anyone know the instrument used at the end? It's so haunting.

  • @0BatGirl0 it sounds like a ghayta.

  • one of the sounds in here make my stomach feel strange, it's still epic though

  • This music sounds like orgasm music!!!

  • @Jezsar12 it EARGASM SONG

  • Reminds me of Death Note :)

  • Reminds me of the video game Sonic & Knuckles - Sandopolis Zone (Act 2), or perhaps could be used as the soundtrack for it.

  • When i hear this i see my self being chased by some unhuman things chasing me throughj a forst and all i have to defend my self and at 2:00 when the music gets more intense i realize i have to turn and fight and at 3:30 i get wounded and realize i have to save hummanity and fight to my dying breath... Sorry that's what i see when i hear this song (:

  • (rock)

  • yum

  • My god their music is beautiful

  • This and Nara are my favorite E.S.P pieces.

Harappa has a very soulful and erotic quality that just pulls me right inside the music.

    Thank you for the upload.

  • if i had to pick a favorite song by ESP i'd have to pick this one.... seductive, passionate, makes me feel high just listening to it. takes me off to another world thousands of years ago where only primal emotions exist...

  • @jheyman227 i definatley agree about the primal emotions part.

  • @jheyman227 nice! you said it for me...

  • i found there music by accident 2 weeks ago n since then i cant stop listening to them n downloading their music its epic n brilliant

  • Love this song! It's just funny that I first heard it when I left the music playing while I was in the bathroom taking a dump. I have to say doing your business, with epic music playing is weird.

  • Holy cow....this is really great music. What a wonderful find. So much emotion on so many levels.

  • i believe this was used in the triple xxx movie trailer!

  • all of a sudden i feel like im fighting of a horde of demons to protect the world

  • Their music is more seductive than a super sexy girl !!! better than orgaism! Helmut and Franz Volinchten did a great job, Davy Spillane best jagpipes player "River Dance" a great musicians in a priceless piece of music....Harappa!! This is a real music , not other low commercial music!

  • I found out about them yesterday and I'm already in love/ obsessed/ addicted to their music. It's just simply amazing, epic and beautiful. Actually no words can describe how beautiful this music is.

  • @anahit93 I know exactly how you mean!!...if you love this kind of music like me, I think you might like Vangelis. Especially the " 1492:Conquest of Paradise" Album. Its AMAZING!

  • @hellotelephone1 omg its amazingggg!!!! thank you so much=]

  • @anahit93 haha yw :) anything to help a fellow music lover. Also the Alexander soundtrack is pretty awesome too..I cant really pick faves' of his albums, cuz ALL OF THEM ARE MASTERPIECES!! Know what I mean?!?

  • @hellotelephone1 yes i do=]

  • @hellotelephone1 and omg i love Vangelis. he wrote Alexander's soundtrack and i absolutely love it!

  • I love how e.s. posthumus has epic parts of their musics. like a song can start out rather boring, but then it gets really exciting by the end.

  • this plays when i take a HUGE dump

  • what album is unstoppable in?

i'm trying to find that album.

  • @SuperNickTalks Unstoppable began to be just a single, but you can find it in their new album, Makara. ;)

  • @ContainNuts Most singles are later re-introduced into albums.

  • @POWERSLAY yeah, I know ;)

  • @ContainNuts I'm thinking it could be going by the same name. Nara is from the Unstoppable album. :D

  • @Nikki777100 Unstoppable is a single. Nara can't be on that album

  • I love this band so much.i just found them out a few days ago and i just wish i found them sooner ive been missing out

  • the song gives me the creeps- i think of the silence before a battle, when the last goodbyes have been made and everyone stands alone and awaits the end but this elecrifying tension just grows stronger and stronger... and every1 thinks of their beloved- its a fascinating mix of tension, sadness and serenity

  • I can't belive how much people listen to this music I think every1 should know E.S Posthumus because the music is very very good

  • Funny scene: The angel comes back and says "God has sent my to you"

And the old man says "What? Again?"

    "Yes. Again."

  • other than arise, unstoppable, pompeii, and ebla.. does anyone know another good es posthumus song to listen while on a run?

  • Broken Arrow ftw!!

"You love having the power of God at your fingertips. You get off on it."

  • love this!!

  • Goodness, every time I hear a Posthumus song I get chills. Its like they know exactly how to pull you in. *sways*

  • I feel like a Roman Legionnaire when listening to this song. Possibly some type of orgy action going on that I'm participating in. Hahaha

  • all their music perfect but this one special for me :)

  • This is my fave of the ES Posthumus pieces.

  • @DarthBias you heard Unstoppable yet? THAT S**T'S INSANE :P xD

  • I don't think so ... *goes to listen right now* ;)

  • I think this is a prime example of the brilliance of E.S. Posthumus. Their songs are so layered with so many different beats, melodies and instruments and it somehow all comes together into such a powerful song. I've listened to this song and others many times, and I always seem to find a new melody or instrument that I haven't heard before. That's what really sets E.S. Posthumus apart from everyone else.

  • Agreed, E.S Posthumus proves that music isn't dead.

  • @MistressZelda

I totally agree. Some of the most "popular" songs only have 2 or 3 instruments playing at a time INCLUDING the vocals. And even those two or 3 instruments play such cliche and simple melodies, not to mention the very uninspiring lyrics that make you think they were drunk when writing them. These songs always have 8 or 9 instruments playing at a time, each of which arn't cliche and are totally complicated genius melodies. THESE songs should be popular not the other garbage....

  • @tianang77 every one has a different taste and while gorgeous it isn't the main stream music quite a shame these people have to live outside of the big light

  • @tianang77 stop nazi-ing everyones music tastes and just go put es posthumus albums on ur ipod its awesome as a soundtrack to life but u might get some funny looks from teenagers. dont worry mate they will grow out of thinking everyone who isnt an angry girl cos her daddy bought her too small shoes is a weirdo.

but until they do, they making the industry of music SO MUCH DAMN MONEY!!! :P

  • @tianang77

It's just simple music for the simple person.

  • @tianang77

It's just simple music for the simple person.

  • @tianang77 Its all about whats popular. I've found alot of this stuff cool, but truth be told, only when I'm playing a game or something... Which, in that case it makes everything disturbingly badass, but otherwise its kind of boring. Music is one of the few subjects that really is entirely based on opinion, yet always people seem to try and bring in stuff like "Oh! This is SO DIFFICULT TO DO! It makes these guys the BEST!" ...Well according to that logic, Jimmy Hendrix totally wins.

  • @InfiniteBlack45

heh well i don't care what you say. E.S. posthumous is better then that other crap. Fact.

  • @tianang77 Yes, outdated instruments that only children with rich parents are forced to play are so amazing, its such a wonder why they aren't used in modern, popular music! Hm? Oh yes, "fact".

  • @InfiniteBlack45

well you can either be a duche about it, or recognize that this is good music...........I don't understand why you're being such a dickhead. -.-

  • @tianang77 Because, I don't half ass shit. When I'ma be a LITTLE bit of a dick, I go all out. This is music, and how good it is is entirely based on the listener's opinion, and I can't stand people who just outright force an opinion down somebody else's throat, especially a dumb one. "Oh, this band rules! That other stuff is just mainstream crap!" Really? I'm the dick? I'm insulting you, your insulting mine, and billions of other people's opinion of music. Oh, and 'cause I'm a total troll.

  • @InfiniteBlack45

I see so your one of those people that think that all music is equal..........by that standard I shouldn't be allowed to say that Beethoven's 9th symphany is better and more advanced then twinkle twinkle little star. Do you see ANYTHING wrong with that statement? -.-

We don't live in a world of rainbows and unicorns where everyone and everything is equal. No, everyone is unique and different, as is music, and some music is just plain better and more advanced then others.

  • @tianang77 Oh! Didn't catch this little comment. But hey! Srew you buddy, Twinkle Twinke is the best! But I do love how, your "opinion" means that the world is a GRIM place, and that means that though other music is enjoyed by a wider variety of people, and thus why its more popular, that it TOTALLY SUCK BALLS AND THAT THIS SHOULD BE WHAT THEY LISTEN TO! Advanced? Friend, I enjoy this as much as you, but no matter how much SKILL it takes to play an instrument, It'll never make it the best.

  • @InfiniteBlack45

the fact that you implied that twinkle twinkle little star is better then beethoven's 9th symphony completely discredits your whole argument. And I can turn your argument right back at you. Just because a wider variety of people enjoy the "popular" music doesn't mean it's better. Doesn't that fit your mentality? Besides, the only reason the other stuff is more popular is because no one even knows this band exists. If they did i bet it would be a different story.

  • @tianang77 hipster alert

  • @meandurmomallnight

PLEASE do explain how I'm a hipster. I'm 18 and enjoy pop and rock as much as the next guy but I'm just tired of meaningless lyrics written by people who are just so superficial and generic. These songs actually have an ounce of creativity and depth to them. Problem?

  • @InfiniteBlack45

Also, America has something called freedom of speech. I just stated my personal opinion and why I thought so. I was NOT trying to force my opinion down other people's throats. No where in my comment did I say everyone who doesn't agree with this is a moron. The 56 thumb ups I got were from people who freely agreed with my opinion, not because they thought I was forcing it on them. I don't care how butthurt you are that my opinion offends you but I have a right to state it.

  • @tianang77 Aw hell yeah! Now I'ma communist dictator! Sweet! Anyway, you have the right to state that it is a "fact" that E.S. is better than EVERY other band, while of course admitting its an opinion... Thats an odd way to contradict yourself but hey, if you want go right ahead. Unfortunately, I have the RIGHT to say you're an idiot, and respond to you claiming that and I quote "All this other garbage" shouldn't be popular. This music? Badass, takes talent, but I still don't bash other genres.

  • @InfiniteBlack45

So basically all this really comes down to is the fact you don't think it's right for me to bash other genres? I'm sorry but everyone has music they don't like and most people voice it openly. And when I wrote that comment 6 months ago i was stating my opinion, which as i said people agreed to and thumbed up freely. I did not force it on them. Unfortunately for you, everyone has music that they prefer over other genres and they are going to say so. You just need to get over it
