  • I'm very impressed. It takes a lot of planning to execute stop motion when editing is not allowed. Especially on super 8mm. Congrats, it looks great!

  • That's pretty cool, it's also a good excercise for shooting ratios. Even though digital has almost infinite amount of footage you can take, learning to only shoot what you need will save you alot of headaches in post.

  • really like the look of the film. it had that washed out look from 60's footage.

  • Hey I am from the Usha Pravin Gandhi College Of Management, Mumbai, India..i really liked your film..We have an international short film making competition in our fest 'Aahan' coming up soon..Pls let me know if you are interested to participate..Waitin for your response!!

  • What film did you use? and how did you light the scenes? (:

  • super 8 color is nostalgic. i love it

  • Awesome

  • What is the first song?

  • The camera I use is a Nizo 116 nice camera works well

  • Love the depth of this, and the purity of the straight 8 one take idea. Nice

What camera was this on, surely not the 1014?

  • Do they still mame Super 8 film cameras?

  • @Soundstage8 Yes, but the new ones aren't cheap. You'd be better off finding an old one at a thrift store, garage sale, craigslist, or ebay. I got one for a dollar at the flea market, and it still works.

  • What camera did you use? how did you get it to be 16:9?

  • lol awesome!

  • TRENT sweater!!!! Dude!!! You boys from Peterborough Ontario?

  • fucking briljant.

    love this.

  • it`s a good one

  • Do you read with glasses or without? :)

  • Very nice work. Love the texture of the Super 8 film.

  • Great Job!

  • dang to do stop motion with a camcorder and not a program, good job :)

  • what camera did u use?

  • Nizo 116 super 8 camera.

  • Looks like another student film done in super 8mm instead of video.

  • Yup, was taking a workshop, and it was a super 8 project that we needed to do. love the class. and love super 8, however there are some really nice prosumer HD cameras that im planning on getting.

  • Very cool... I love super-8, always wanted to try an in camera film, never got around to it. This is one of the better attempts I've seen, especially considering the stop-motion animation. Love live 8mm!

  • stop motion

  • Well done. You made a nice film. I have done a couple on super8's without any editing and just shooting with the one roll of film. Its a real chanllenge and you done good. Espicialy clever getting the animation in. Congratualitions

  • well i find this highly implausable. Toys do not come out of books. Reading is not imagination. No-one runs their finger along books/dvds when choosing. Why not play two player? Spectacles suddenly appear on frumpy flatmate.

  • .... I also make film in super 8. Not the same, if you'd had a glance....

  • Excellent!! Nice work!!

  • hahaha... I just had to wait for the "loading time" on an 8mm film lol

    Great job!

  • Alsom! How did you get the widescreen aspect?

  • dude. that was really dope. seriously. great lil concept, well executed. no editing--very nice. inspiring. i'm at the end of my 3rd bw roll of my first super 8 camera. looking forward to seeing what i got.

  • thanks. wish i was able to edit it. but yeah it was fun to make it. cant wait to see yours. if you ever post it. send me a link.

  • Is that Dave Gorman?

  • The reason i said there was no editing was the fact that i couldn't do any linear or non linear editing after wards. if given the ability to do that i might have been able to make the movement a lot smoother. all i did was shoot frame by frame. so i never had to do any editing, just shooting. so technically its all in camera editing with the super 8.

  • Cool¡¡

  • umm you need to find someone that can do it for you :P honestly depends on your city, im lucky enough to have several places were i can go. i didnt go for HD though just put it on Mini DV

  • Hi there. How may I transfer super 8 films to computer HD?

  • A story well told. I've developed quite an interest for super 8, as it is such a cheap alternative to 16mm, and also as I hate digital video with a passion. Keep making films brother!

  • haha that was good, Did you shoot it 24 frames or 18??

  • thanks. glad you liked it. i shot it at 18fps. the projector we had in class runs 18fps so i didnt want my film to look like it was in slow motion.

  • nice, wat camera did u use?

  • Nizo 116 Super 8 got it off of ebay. Great deal. fun camera to use. the only thing that sucks on it is the view finder is really small. but it allows me to do single frame 18fps or 24 fps.
