will a sparco steering wheel fit a nrg hub? cause i have a sparco steering wheel in a box in my car and the sparco quick releases are alot more than nrg ?
to get rid of your srs light without taking the bulb out, just get a 2 ohm resistor and plug it into your srs sub harness then reset your light and your good to go. your srs will work normally this way.
does the wheel only go back on in the same position as you took it off? i mean if you parked and your wheels were on an angle maybe it would be hard to find the exact location as you took it off from?
i def need one of those on my rsx some piece of shit already fucked up my lock trying to get in. r they safe tho like they wont detach while driving right
so does the nrg quick release work with any wheel? because i am getting a sparco steering wheel and i was wondering if the sparco hub and steering wheel will work with it. thanks
So like do you take the steering wheel out when you go shopping?
How much did you pay for yours? im getting one soon, but i guess ill have to hold on to my steering wheel when i walk through malls and stuff. i like the anti theft reason.
Get the Lock as well.. you can always quietly put the steering wheel in the trunk and lock the HUB down. Even if they get the wheel out.. they cant put it on. But....they might keep the wheel ;)
After a few years since my last little project got stolen I'm looking for a new project to work on and will steer clear of the gay steering wheel clubs. I've been thinking of doing this to my next project as a form of anti theft and because quite frankly they look sweet, but how safe/secure are they for daily driven vehicles? Are there quick release wheels that allow you to hook up the horn or is this a custom job everyone will have to do?
Yup! You already have most of the dash apart, so what's an extra four screws. I don't think I even yanked the bulb. I was super lazy and just pulled the YELLOW connector out of the back of the cluster. (Everything yellow is SRS related)
When you pop the wheel back on do you have to make sure it lines up perfectly or does it only fit on one way? This is the next thing I want for my car, looks sweet.
Akira from CSC right? Nice one - I'm thinking of getting this setup...awesome theft deterent! I'll throw you a PM if you're the guy I'm thinking of! lol
is there any play on the wheel?...like does it wiggle or shake a bit when u lightly turn the wheel left and right or is it bolted on pretty tight?...and how did you disable the airbag system?
hey i just bought one, and i was wondering how u make the horn to work...and also when u tighten uop the bolt to hte wheel, u just tighten it as hard as possible right?
You dont have to use a slim one, but you'll always need a hub-adapter, the slim one just keeps the wheel in a near-stock location. If you use a "normal" hub adapter; the wheel will move closer to the driver. Personally, I wouldnt mind the wheel being closer to me... but it gets tough to reach the indicator/windscreen wiper stalks.
i've watched this vid a few times and just noticed your car is RHD thats freaking aewsome, i drive a 99 honda prelude, is there and loose feeling in the wheel? do you have any other vids or pics of of the hub and your car?
how hard, how long did it take to install? im ordering the nrg quick release for my car because alarms don't work for crap, do you have any problems with aligning the wheel centered with the wheels? hope ya know what i mean by that...thanks
Wasn't hard at all. The hardest thing was making the horn work, which envolved using a paper-clip to bridge the cap between car and NRG hub. No problem aligning the wheel with the car's wheels. Just park the car straight before you start. :]
try steeling my car now m..f

I imported it from Evassive Motorsports in the US. I got hit with import tax too, but..meh, worth it still with the weak dollar.

g123k 3 years ago
It will only go one way, so you can "see" roughly what angle to put it on at, then you just wobble the wheel a bit and it "clicks" into place :)
