i have a simliar problem with my hp pavilion dv4, on the bottom part of the screen it flickers a green light for barely half a second and then disappears and reappears every 5 seconds. what's causing this? bad cable connections or screen is going bad?????
Thank youuuu I just fixed my m305 i was lucky my was just false connection plug to the inverter my was flickering very badly with any movement thank u again ZipMsp
not really a screen flicker... more of a connection issue, dimming, stuff like that... I just gave my Acer Aspier 8730 a screen flicker... at 60Hz
and i'm so sure it didn't have one before...
I mea its only noticeable when i'm on my colourful desktop background or other alike images but, its obviously still there... I highly doubt this is a case of "it was always there" I'll admit that its my fault if it has appeared (pushed the refreshrate to 90 for about 12 hours... <_<... then to 120)
If you can't find anything wrong with the new screen you installed and it still flickers even though you replaced inverter as well?..do what I did re-install everything from your recovery disc , I was planning to wipe out my hard drive and re-install and sell it as is, when I turned it on and what do you know, no more flickering I tested it , I turned it off again , put it in hibernate , left it on for hours and no flickering. Might have been a virus even though I update my virus program weekly.
no just the inverter and the screen , because I already put some money into it already , I decided to wipe out the hardrive and re-install recovery disc and just sell the damn thing , problem solved, so now I guess I'm just keeping it for a back up , but no I didnt change the cable
My son's Acer Aspire was having the same problem. Once inside, we found that two lower screws were missing, which probably caused the screen to flex each time it was opened or closed. Also, two connections were not completed. Ours was purchased new in November 2006 and Acer will accept no responsiblity or accountability for their own internal defects. Upon failure, we'll replace with another brand.

Hey, thanks for the video. I'm having the same problem...my laptop backlight flickers whenever i move the LCD.
Have you solved the problem? If so, was it the cable you mentioned, or was it something else?
Thanks
