@anajoy1 I'm sure you are very good at these dear :) All kudos for the Nigerian meals go to my sweet Mum <3 She started showing me how to cook Naija food when I was very very young and I cooked my first unsupervised meal at about 12. I paid people to teach me the basics of Nigerian snacks and some of my friends have helped me perfect some of them. I also watch when people prepare these meals so that I can pick up more tips and tricks to add to what I know :)
ooh and also your way actually makes sense this wayy it can stay in the fridge longer and not sogg or soak up (EWW i hate tht) if there is cream and sauce all over it .. got it got it lol.. keep the videos coming!!! =))
oooohh.. i love how u do it. really nice video such an inspiration. Im Ghanaian and I LOVE NAIJA COOKING!!!! I grew up with two Naija aunties who i love so dearly and i use to love watching them cook!!!! But in regards to the salad my mom likes to put the cream heinz stuff before she puts it in the fridge so that you wont need any salad dressing afterward.. but i will try it your way one day. ! =))
reel tlk naija salad be nast ass hell...I've never seen a nice looking one or tasted a good one. We africans should stick to pounded yam end egusi!!!!! Leave salad out the equation
@wbtdupe17 I knowwww ... A lot of people add so many ingredients to their salad that it's not-so-saladlike anymore. Just try this one and you'll change that impression of Nigerian salad foreverrrrrrr. :D
what was funny was when you put the bowl in the fridge then brought it out to show. as if some miracle occurred. lol. overall the salad looks great. im hungry now
@awonotamidaran5000 If that's the only thing wrong with the recipe then can I get a thumb up? :DDDD But seriously, Nigerian Salad won't be Nigerian Salad without Baked Beans and Heinz Salad cream o! Go and do your research if you are not Nigerian :) There are many other ingredients other people add to their Nigerian Salad but I won't say it is not Nigerian Salad just because they added something I have never thought of adding.
@alj51982 Yes you can use both. There are many more ingredients you can use in the Nigerian Salad: corned beef etc but those are not necessary to get the taste of the Nigerian Salad. Click the "Show more" link under the video to see more details of the ingredients you can add to this recipe.

Heinz salad cream can be bought on amazon dot com, if you live in the states. Also I thought Nigerian salad uses cabbage not lettuce.
