  • Great review, I grew up with zoids (along with transformers, and terrahawks) and only collected the red faction. I don't have any of them now and it's strange as a kid you never know where they all ended up. can you do a review on slime the snail and krark the eagle. In battle i would pretend the canopy pod would eject on my zoids allowing the pilot an escape chance. loved my childhood toys, no computer gizmos in the 80's.

  • @nedster01 its funny that all mine as as kid just vanished 1 bit at a time lol. i have reviewed krark and will upload the other red zoids you asked about soon

  • My childhood: Zoids, Beyblade, Yugioh, Gundam, Bionicles, and Power Rangers.

  • rebuilding my zoid collection, it is a childhood thing :)

having delivered redhorn, mammoth, krark, the blue version of krark and have recently recieved a elephander, ultrasaurus, cheetah zoix, digunner, red zabre, shield liger and a trooperzoid.

  • My favourite Zoid of all time is Redhorn. Was lucky enough to get the 2003 onwards UK release thats essentially the New Japanese Release. Think hes a tiny bit darker and has darker lugs (the grey rubber bits) and hes got green canopies and blue androids. Always wondered if the android 'was' the Zoid or became one with the Zoid when it piloted it. Got loads from the re-releases from 2003, got mine in 2006-7 cut price at The Entertainer, Ebay and from some Far East online shop like HELLCAT.

  • i remember the old zoids from the 80s, excellent toys, my and my brother had almost every one going and with the smaller zoids sometimes 4 or 5 in a group.

We used to have mega battles and then rebuild them all afterwards and have them on display.

My faves were redhorn, mammoth and gorgon.

  • Great review! I'm planning to make a remake of the red vs blue zoid series but with the old ones and the newer ones. I only have 1 zoid so it's gonna take a while. But when it comes out you should definitely see it. It will take a while since I need at least 15-20 zoids for each team. But I need to ask you something that I can't decide on. Would Death Stinger be more on the red or blue side?

  • @SnipedUupsideUrHead hmmm, im not sure there. sometimes i go on his primary colour but i cant remeber , i think it was blue or the rubber caps.

  • Do they still sell these anywhere because I used to love these when I was 9.

  • ebay is about the only place

  • Um, I don't know if that's the planet and race explained in the comic, but in the anime(s) the planet was Planet Zi, and the ancient race were the Zoidians. Yet again, I'm not sure if it was changed in the UK or not.

  • dude when r they gonna bring zoids back to tv?

  • I doubt they are. It wasn't very successful. I personally think it was just dubbed here before it's time and if they were to bring it here now it would be a hit.

  • dude contact them on their site n tell them that. plz

im tryin 2 get them 2

  • please, you think I didn't already try? They just don't respond. Remember, it was on Cartoon Network, and if they do put it back, it'll probably be at a 5:00 AM timeslot now that Toonami's gone.

  • oh..... well lets keep buggin tha shit outta them! we can keep sendin the same msg to them over and over again

  • true.

  • I used to watch the cartoons when i was 7 and i have some zoids myself. I have the bear one the main character used to drive i think, the raptor, the broncossaurus and the saber tooth and a fish one.

  • could you do a berserk fury or gensaur/genobreaker review

  • I have a suggeston, sell both mammoths to me LOL

  • it's funny how they re used many guns from other zoids noticed that the guns in the back, tail and head from mammoth are the same guns that are on the gojulas?

  • Brings back memories. Still have a couple of these from my childhood; the red mammoth and the blue T Rex along with a few smaller ones. They really knew how to make good quality toys in the early eighties!!

  • Hey, good video. i just recently have dug out my old zoids (look up my video) and we must be about the same age cause there dont seem to be to many folk i speak to about zoids that know anything pre 95' let alone the comics ha ha....good to know there is someone else! i still have all the comics too and there still great eh?..you cant beat the classics.

  • i know, im surprised that there are only a few people on here that remember the zoids from the 80's. im 33 , though i got all my ziods from ebay as those that i had as a kid got lost or destroyed lol. i have about 50% of the comics but i managed to get a cd rom with all of they on as some were very hard to get, like the black zoid saga near the end of the run.

  • Your mammoth probably has a blown motor. The same thing happened to my Liger Zero. You just need to find a new motor, unscrew the engine that the body is built on, clip out the old motor and solder a new one in. Not sure if it will work though. I was just lucky that I had a Zaber Fang with a matching motor case to my liger. I swapped the two.

  • brings back memories lol

  • Awesome review!!!

  • new ones were dull!

    ray

  • love zoid!

    had loads!

all the wee cheap ones tho!

    ray

  • i always wanted to get a zoidzilla, the huge one. hhhmmm i may get on to ebay........

  • Cool! I didn't have that much Zoids. I had the Liger Zero, but he doesn't have much pieces left on him...

  • YAYYY that brought back some memories. I had Redhorn - didn't have Mammoth though because he only had weenie guns, Redhorn had some massive ones.

IIRC from the comic, the red zoids wanted to kill all the blue zoids so they could conquer the planet, while the blue zoids wanted to beat the red zoids so they could go back to blasting seven hells out of each other.

Maybe unified red zoids represented communism, and the independant blue zoids represent free market capitalism?

  • Liger Zero panzer! That thing is intense!

  • Zoids are really cool!!!

  • all te camera shaking giving me motion sickness

  • thanks a lot for doing a zoids review as requested, graham.

  • yay, im not crazy i remeber they had been around ages... i remeber when was a lil kid. but almost no one remebered it

  • wow i never realised that zoids were that old. I remember watching the CGI type cartoon were they had human drivers and not really liking it that much. I mean i liked the zoids but not the humans. But the story for these older zoids sounds so much cooler. Nice review.

  • im pretty sure tryicon wasnt a zoid back then, though there was a t-rex zoid called zoidzilla which ill try and show in my next zoids review

  • Those are cool graham!

I vaguely remember the toys tho they do remind me more of the 80's cartoon 'robotix', especially that wheeled serpent one you showed.

I for one would like to see more of your zoids!

    D:)

  • ill try and do another zoid review this week some time, got alot of positive feedback on them so im deffo going to do more - graham

  • wow , never heard about those but they seem fabulous toys and just as good display pieces !

thanks for a great review (you could have posted this one as 'education' easily)

  • Zoids are very awesome. I didn't even know about them. Are these guys hard to find on ebay, and are they as expensive as G1? Would love to get some of these Zoids figures.

Great review, Graham. Keep up with enjoying us the viewers. Look forward to see what you come up next with.

  • you can get most of the zoids that came out around 2003 on ebay pretty cheap , even the really huge 1s, but some older 1s like the blue mammoth or some others are really hard to find, i still want the ledendary ULTRASAURUS RED ! which is immpossible to find and is the zoids holy grail !!!

  • great review

i had forgotten about the zoids .

    that brings back memories.

you have one of the best toy collections i have ever seen, dude you rock.

  • thanks, but only because for a long time in my late teens and early 20s i had nothing else to spend my money on lol, cant wait to see your next review

  • Wow, those guys bring back memories, great view as always!

  • ya first post nice reveiw
