I don't understand how you get 130' flat, when I have a "modern" built plusbow that has improvements from the original design and shoot maybe 110'-120' with slug darts.

I am making a nerf gun of my own but i am using some of your ideas. I am using a pvc barrel and chamber. Should i use a circular aluminum rod as the plunger rod or your polycarbonate boxed rod? Also is there any reason for the rails that the plunger handle rides on?

A square rod will be easier to keep in alignment with the catchplate. The rails keep the handle from hitting your arm, and keep it straight.

They're not likely to carry more than one thickness. You'll save yourself a good deal of money by either ordering it from McMaster, or checking your local phone book for plastics shops. Some sell offcuts per pound, like Piedmont Plastics does.

A strap could be added by clipping it onto the standoff at the front and then through a hole added to the back of the stock.

What kind of spring ae you using? Is the gun comfortable?

The spring is similar to an AR-15 carbine spring. This is the most comfortable homemade I have made yet and I personally find it more comfortable than the Longshot.
