I stopped playing guitar hero years ago, but I was playing on expert (I had beaten the GH3 story on all difficulties and gotten 84% on Through the Fire and Flames) and this kid knows what he is talking about.

And stop hating on guitar hero. I've played real guitar for 2 years now and thanks to guitar hero, I could already alternate strum and do triplets when I started.

i just use my three fingers on green,red and yellow and switch to yellow blue and orange when i see a blue or orange one ;p much easier (for me) but do what you are good at im not so strong in my pinky and im too lazy to train it xD

Cheers for the tips mate, just started playing gh warriors of rock first game ive played using a guitar finding it kinda hard on medium at the moment... Also i figured out myself moving my hand from index finger from green to red was easyer but sometimes i press down the wrong finger like my middle finger for yellow thinking i was still on red etc. the double buttons though i can do but i cant get the cordination on my middle finger + small one

your not suppose 2 shift your hand alot like that, your suppose 2 shift your grip down so you use your pinky for red and green, and just shift grip if you get alot of green red and some yellows at the same time. it's gonna feel kinda weird in the beginning but trust me on those really hard expert songs you cant sit and shift your grip down all the time.

start on easy, when you pass all the songs on easy, try medium.

when you get 90% or higher on all songs on medium (except for maybe raining blood, one, ttfaf etc.), you can try hard. use practice and set the speed to slowest. practice until you can use the orange button. if you can get 90% on every song on hard, try expert. expert can be hard. (i completed guitar hero aerosmith on expert 5*, guitar hero 3 on 4 stars and i need to do 1 more song on world tour.)

@jam900x I would judge it based on your transition from Medium to Hard. And if you fail a song on Expert, don't give up. It's all practice. Don't expect to never fail a song in your life. It will happen.

Friendly Tip: Put your fingers on Orange, Blue, Yellow, Red. Stretch your index to Green on those notes. Shifting your hands may confuse what frets you are on

its most likely because you are stressing your hand muscles too much to try and hit every note, but it also could be that you arent experienced enough, my hand does that too from time to time, but im not TOO great either,,, im good and all you can watch my videos i put up a few days ago to see how good i am or in your opinion maybe how bad,, but you should do hand exercises before playing, and relax when youre playing the solos
