I used two steel bolts in a water and salt solution (not measured salt just added some) with copper wire (wire was not exposed to water only ends of bolts) connected to a 6V lantern bettery and produced some iron oxide, yet also produced a greenish blue solution on the bottom (with could be due to the copper) with some blackish solution too. Can you tell me what this blueish greenish copper looking solution is and also the black stuff and if it effects the iron oxide at all?
