With Basilisk, we have a new character.

His fighting style heavily resembles the one from Balrog from the Street Fighter series, added to the ability to petrify anyone in his range.

A pretty interesting character. If only his goal wouldn't be 'DEATH TO MARIO', I would've liked him.

Which leads us back to the drama...

First we had the slaughter of Sonic's friends and the destruction of his planet.

And now even Mario's world turns dark, with all the characters who actually want to kill him.

And in fact, I couldn't believe how Sonic actually praised him to the skies at one point of this episode.

The little flashback of Shadow (which tells more than words really) added even more drama to the already high extent of it.

I don't deny that his story makes sense more or less, if you think about it.

But my point is: He shouldn't exist in this flash series in the first place!

He is A LOT (!) stronger than any other of the heroes.

Well, at least he didn't appear in the fight scenes of this episode.

But that doesn't excuse of overpoweredness from the previous episodes.

Aka, an overused and unoriginal cliche that the world doesn't need.

Dude calm down. Remember these videos are like well over 10 to 15 minutes and everything you see has to be shot frame by frame and there are a lot of fighting scenes so it's gonna take him quite some time. Plus he probably has more important things to do. Sprite videos are like claymation videos, you have to shoot every single frame and then play it all back. He does have a life outside of these videos so of course it's gonna take him a while. Just be patient!!
