To be really honest, I don't see what the big hype about Buchla systems is all about... all I've ever heard from these machines is farty bleepy bloops that I can pull off for much less money. I want to hear a really sophisticated example of why these are worth the going rates.
I met Don at `90 Winter NAMM. He came over to my booth,.nice fella he gave me his number,.ironically I beat him in 1 st place in Coolest Controller Award the year. I was just a proto typing green horn also. Wierd. I was displaying a large scale, 8 foot, Drum Synth art / sculpture.
hey Tara.... dont let them yak so much..... SOUND BABY SOUND..... it tells the tale..... they will go on and on and not play................ just a nudge
awesome synth, but buchla should be ashamed of the price of these things, 20,000?40,000!!!......come on. i'd have to sell me car,all my gear, and my girlfriend into slavery, just to get the entry level set up....
for people who doesn't know anything about synths just that they make cool sound if is used in good hands this interview was super instructive... thanks!

how about actually asking questions rather than just awkwardly interjecting every blue moon? he pretty much did the interview for you. you didnt ask about his setup or for a demo of the buchla, what he's recorded with it, when we'll hear some of those recordings etc.
I was far more interested in what he had to say about the Buchla than hearing myself speak. Thank you for your perspective & checking out the video. : )

That says more about your income level than it does about Buchla & Associates.

it is expensive, but you can start with only a couple of modules and have a pretty awesome set up.

Omg I'm in love with this system right now . I've watched quite a few vides about a buchla, great machine.
I think I need to start saving for a System #2, since I'm a student this may take some years though. : \
Thanks for the vid.

He seemed to know what he wanted to talk about, so why interrupt him?
