My GOD, turning the dash cam away, etc., etc., they should be arrested in uniform if they are working, for assault and battery like anyone else. No more of this investigative method. If the cops were given the same laws at citizens then things would change. However, the investigation should take place immediately after a compliant, period!!!

1 the comments of the people backing him
2 dropping the charges on andrew
3 asking for civil rights violation
4 going to church with Andrew ( he needs to not get personal )

6 the fact that he asked the public for compassion when he has none for the officers
@MsLourie1 The chief did the right thing. Dropping charges is something for the DA. Fact is the offending officers put the county or city in a bad situation. They could have gone ahead with the trail of the cyclist, but the impending legal suit would have been huge. Plus that place would have received much unwanted attention. If the cops had done their job properly, he would be behind bars and they wouldn't be on trial. Bottom line, if you feel raw about it, blame the DA.

My GOD, turning the dash cam away, etc., etc., they should be arrested in uniform if they are working, for assault and battery like anyone else. No more of this investigative method. If the cops were given the same laws at citizens then things would change. But, of course legislatures would argue that they are risking their lives everyday, and sometimes do need to use excessive force during an arrest. However, the investigation should take place immediately after a compliant, period!!!

It is all a pattern. Many people are battered and killed by police. The citizens are angry because justice is not served. But after so many are beaten or killed the make a conviction to appease the people. But the beatings and killings continue again. And after a certain period of time one officer gets convicted. It is a pattern. The beatings and killing will never end. I could be wrong , but that is only my opinion.

1 the comments of the people backing him
2 dropping the charges on andrew
3 asking for civil rights violation
4 going to church with Andrew ( he needs to not get personal )

@MsLourie1 The chief did the right thing. Dropping charges is something for the DA. Fact is the offending officers put the county or city in a bad situation. They could have gone ahead with the trail of the cyclist, but the impending legal suit would have been huge. Plus that place would have received much unwanted attention. If the cops had done their job properly, he would be behind bars and they wouldn't be on trial. Bottom line, if you feel raw about it, blame the DA.
