  • sounds great! please help, did you set up the bmp of the sample beforehand or did you just slice it at its original bpm? i need to see what settings did you do before you started to record the video :)

  • chopped up this sample today! pretty random

  • This was pretty nice. Check out this crazy beat I recently produced, I had sampled Outkast's "Prototype" track. Feel free to leave a comment if you like what you heard.

  • very helpful for people who make beats. The info you give is great.

  • O yea

  • WATS UP WER DID U GT YOUR TRIGGER FINGER THING N HOW MUCH DO THEY RUN

  • Ok, so Im lost on the part that one hit makes a portion of the whole sample. How did you cut it or set it up so that one button is for a small part of the whole sample?

  • what is the original song called ?

  • Easy beat

  • imma try to get better at making beats....or whatever lol

  • Nice man! I really appreciate your work. Thanks for the tips!

  • were do u get samples nice

  • bro thanks for the shift-trick , normally I use the attackknob on the limiter.

  • whats the name of your skin?

  • This was very informative...but you need a tripod lol

  • nice vid dude and dope ass beat. i really wanna start making sample beats but i have no idea where to find these kind of samples. where do you get yours from?

  • @RaguilarBeats check out future producers they have a sampling section with tons of free samples

  • @jgvisual thank you so much. keep up the sick beats

  • @jgvisual talking of samples you used the same sample in ur intro that pretty lights used in short line

  • Dope man!

  • how did you find the tempo bro?

  • @llyonsbb once you have your sample pulled up in the sequencer right click the audio stream and click where it says "detect tempo" and it will tell you.

  • @llyonsbb ya ive done that plenty of times but it doesnt quite go with the metronome when i do it

  • @llyonsbb I always tap tempo, right click the tempo window in the transport and hit tap tempo.

  • where do you get your samples from? been looking for some but cant seem to find any. much appreciate it if you ca help bro

  • @babycasper100 check out future producers. google it. they've got a whole section for posting samples

  • @babycasper100 search some samples urself on youtube. people upload really old funk and soul tracks, just find a good converter and u can sample tracks no one ever did before.

  • @babycasper100 u gotta dig baby dig!!!!

  • The monitors are pasive or active?

  • @MrCked active, but they are no good. I would go for some passive ones if I were you. much cheaper to upgrade

  • Where do u find your samples?

  • Thanks helped alot

  • Can I have the mp3 ? Can I please used to make a track?

  • Can I have the mp3 ?

  • one question, what is better a mpc or a trigger finger?

  • @Bastian36 they're both different. the trigger finger is good if you already have a piece of software on your computer whereas the mpc is designed to be a standalone piece of equipment, i.e. you would use it without a computer.

  • @jgvisual

    i have an akai lpk25 + fl studio 10

should i buy a mpc or a triggerfinger?

  • @Bastian36 I sold mine a few years ago and just use an maudio midi keyboard now

  • sounds good. never know what fruity love was untill now.

  • what program would you prefer for a beginner

  • learned so much from your vid, thanks for givin out some of your cooking recipes! FIRE ON THE WAY!

  • this help me a lot :)

    OBSCENE PLANET TAKEOVER

  • Wow, this is sick!

I really like it :) Good work!

Come check out some of my beats if you get chance, i make mine with a PAPER keyboard and PAPER Drum pad :P

    Keep up the good work!

  • @lildrummerboy311 hip hop has always been samples.... grandmaster flash, 2 live crew, big l, biggie, 2pac.... everyone man.

  • thanks a lot man, keep do what you do! peace

  • how did you make your sequencer orange basically how did you customised?

  • @phenomena17 I was using a skin for FL Studio called the MPC Skin that was created by a dude named Squeetz. I put a link to the skin in the description of the video.

  • hey thanks a lot learned some shit from this video fosho

  • Wow, nice man. I liked it! Check out some of my beats, i make them with paper :)

  • Hi. I've got a problem. When I select polyphony to 1 & turn off "TIME" in "INS" in FL Studio it's everything sounds good, but when I export it to any format all samples plays like without polyphony. What should I do to fix that?

BTW: Video & beat is really nice. Thanks for this. ;)

BTW2: Very sorry for my English. ;)

    BTW3: I'm waiting for help. ;)

  • @Hubci0x make sure to disable "Disable Max Polyphony" in your little export window. It's one of the choices near the sinc depth and export format in the export song window.

  • @jgvisual Thank you very much. ;)

I was searching for something like this, but i didn't saw that. o.O

  • nice tips.

  • Do u quantize after laying down ya sample pattern?

  • @djo247 here and there, I usually quantize and then turn off snapping to play with the groove within the piano roll

  • Thats a really good beat you made man, i definitely can hear J.Cole on this track

  • You honestly have no idea who you sampled yet you sampled it? This is why producers are a dime a dozen, and then you call shit "whatevers" and "things"... Do you have any idea what exactly you're talking about with envelopes and resonance? Or do you just see knobs and turn them? I'm gonna go with the latter...

  • I wanted tah stop makin beats after i saw this :\

    damm haha its tight bruhh

  • @mountnooby keep practicing and you'll be knocking out better beats than I do!

  • who made the song that you've sampled ?

  • @kajkagebage to be honest I don't remember

  • What did you sample?

  • Hot beat right here!!!!!!

  • nice tutorial man u helped me out alot...tryin to get off the dirty south shit and start makin some real hip hop

  • Nice!

  • thank you

  • i'm confused as to how you set up the different chops. can you explain how to chop up different samples from the song?

  • @ceaserdadondada just set marker points wherever you want, you'll use those to trigger the sample in the fruity slicer. also, play around with slicex because that will do it too!

  • dropping gems for the kids lol appreciate it dude

  • very good

    check my beats to all

  • damn, bro thats some hot shit & thank you for the tips!

  • This is not my style of beats. But I actually like your style.

  • how could anyone dislike this??????? crazy

  • I don't get how to make it look so perfect, like your sequence loops perfect how do you do that?

  • I wish I was dat good.. and I cant seem to find samples..

  • Thanks man! You really helped me, but I have problem with mp3 after rendering project. Project sounds fine, but mp3 is kinda repeating samples over each other. I've checked already and I haven't put any delay, reverb or repeating on them. What could be wrong? :s

    Thanks.

  • @MrTreiseris in the export window make sure "disable max poly" is unchecked. that's the reason you're hearing what you're hearing.

  • wats that thing called where u made the beats?

  • Yeah, this is a nice one. Nice tips too!

  • whats the name of that trigger finger controller?

  • whatever...

  • what is the function of the shift thing? and what sample did you use to make the beat? how did you filter the bass out of the sample?

  • what is the function of the shift thing? and what sample did you use to make the beat?

  • Yo i got a MPD24 but i cant use it with the slicer, i have to use it with the FPC. Anyone know how i can set it up so i can use it with the slicer? Help would be much appreciated

  • Thanks For the bass line tip I use it all the time!!!!!!!

  • if yall want the sample just look up what sample the guy "u-niq" did duh??

  • THIS BEAT IS DOPE! 5/5*****

    // DawgBoi

  • this beats dope as hell! wat song did he sample?

  • is it legal to just take someones samples and make it to a hiphop beat? answer please..

  • You can sample anything you want, the track must be completed by an artist before it can get clearance so whoever is being sampled can decide whether or not they want them to use it, the producer has nothing to do with sample clearance

  • thats why a lot of rappers do mixtape tracks because they dont have to worry about sample clearance because there's no publishing involved

  • oh and the bass thing fucking helped me alot now i always copy the sample trow it in the filter low pass it and make it more bass and then compress AWSOME TIP!!!! fuckin boo bass doesn't always work

  • You can actually use the bass filtering method on BooBass. Try it and you will get a great low sounding bass sound.

  • dude this is a hundred dollar beat just tweak a little this sounds so fucking original like something jayz with spit on..its good mid western beat

  • Sample is used in the song Geen Verschil by U-niq.
