Did anybody else notice the face in the backround watching Penn do his blog, here? Just look through the window between at 5:36. Its some reflection of a face that is obviously infront of Penn. It might be his wife, i think.
Hi Penn fans. Penn Says videos have been discontinued, so you won't be seeing any new content on here. You can check out our Profile on our Channel Page for more info. We'll still be checking in, so hope to keep chatting with you all! Thanks!
oh my God, the same thing happened to me a few years ago. I was still like 6 and I wanted to go trick or treating as Patrick Star from Spongebob. Since I couldn't find a costume, my mom made me one out of sheets and died it pink. Of course, it didn't look pink at night which was really bad in a predominantly black neighborhood.
The instant he said "I'll be a ghost", around like 1:50, I already knew precisely where this was going. LOL I'm not a mirror person either but if you're dressing in a costume and trying to make sure you're concealed from your daughter recognizing you, wouldn't you take a glance?
I had a similar awkward moment at a Halloween party my wife and I hosted this year. I dressed as Robert Downey, Jr.'s character from Tropic Thunder. When I answered the door around 9pm, one of my wife's friends I hadn't yet met, who is black, was standing on our front doorstep. Instead of saying the "I'm a lead farmer, motherfucker!" line I'd previously used to greet my guests, I quickly dropped character and explained who I was supposed to be in my own white-boy voice. He laughed anyway. Whew!
As a black man I say that everyone was being paranoid. Klan members dont wear straw hats over their sheets. Klan members dont go "woo wooo" and float. Klan members also CANT READ. Its a scientific fact.
@cfierce Hey man, I see your comment is over a year old, but this is funny. I had a friend in college who's grandma was the stereotypical large black southern woman from Georgia. My friend had a nicely framed, KKK official clan membership card, badge, and informational brochure from the 1940's that her grandma applied for and received. She was a card carrying member, just as her way of saying F### You to the clan.
Penn, I laughed so hard at this one. And I wouldn't have cared one way or the other about seeing yet another five minute ghost costume, (even PENN's five minute ghost costume), but after your telling of it, I really need to see it. Really, I do. Come on, be cool to us. Pretty pleeeeeease? :3
Damn, talk about awkward . . . nearly had a similar moment when a co-worker, who happens to be African-American, asked who broke her monkey soap dispenser. Got as far as "Sounds like a per . . .", which was meant to be finished up with " . . . sonal problem" before realizing how that could be misinterpreted, thanks to the comic and such re: Obama. The PC two-step, ye gods Xb
the voice you did when you said "I'll just be a ghost!" was priceless, it sounded almost like it went up an octive. I love you Penn in a very straight, respectful way
My black son asked to wear a ghost costume this year ,...and I said No Way. It is just not smart. Penn - you could have worn a mask. She wouldnt have recognized you.
Penn won't celebrate Christmas, because it's a Christian holiday (originally pagan), but he'll celebrate Halloween, which was and still IS a pagan holiday? Sounds a bit...hypocritical.
Well... there was Belushi dressed as a Mexican Killer Bee... that was pretty offensive. To bees..
I suppose you could have ditched the whole thing. Then when they asked where you were you could have said....I was there... I came as a ghost.. but you can't see ghosts... see how good my costume was!
Actually it means he chose to make his costume as opposed to buying it from a store which is easier. He fills out rooms for a hundred bucks a head regularly. He doesn't need to be cheap.
You took me too seriously. Maybe I should have put the LOL on it. That comment was meant for morons who see people in a white sheet on Halloween and think KKK.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i really wanna see that picture now. you know, you could have put a white streak in your hair and gone as the bride lol.
That's funny! I saw it coming in the video after since I watched it first.
On the plus side everyone else had costumes to scare the kids and yours was the only costume that scared the parents.
I'm also reminded of that South Park with Eric Cartman.
Screw the KKK, as if they're the only ones allowed to wear sheets. It's just like the Nazis ruining the swastika for everyone, even if it's pointing the right way.
Reason I saw it coming was typical cheapo ghost costume IS just a sheet over your head and holes cut out.x It is SUPPOSED to drape to your shoulders.x HAHA!^_^x That gives it the amorphous ghost shape!
Kinda human, but not really!l When she went with the pillow case suggestion, I knew it was going to fail:)x
