just listened to this for the first time. minor detail at the end, i always thought of that big "spiritual" battle as God vs. Satan too, but my teacher said something a few years back that is fundamental and when I heard it, it made total sense. It's God vs. no one. Saying God vs. Satan implies that Lucifer is an equal match in some way against God-he is not in any way, God CREATED all the angels (including lucifer) and by His will alone does life (on earth and angels) exist at all. =)

But the story is epic. And I just want Blizzard to release a game that would let us know and interact with the canonical characters again.

(Cataclysm did have more of these- but It's not as well as how they did at Warcraft 3.)

Lucifer vs. God wouldn't work since Lucifer is (according to religion, anyways) a son of God. God "created" 4 archangels, Michael, Lucifer, Raphael and Gabriel. Lucifer is literally the "fallen one" who was cast down from Heaven.
