I just think it's rediculous how no one drafted him. I can think of about 10 receivers in the draft that got picked in the first or second round that don't have the potential this guy does. Just racism at it's finest.

David Ball was signed to the New York Jets practice squad and has not seen playing time. As far as the Bears go, it was between David Ball and Mike Hass. Mike Hass is pretty damn good too, but he has yet to see any playing time. Maybe if they lose Berrian to free agency, Hass will get a little playing time.
jerry rice didnt go to a "powerhouse" college either, jerry went to mississipi valley state which is D1AA just like David Ball's college and Jerry Rice's college was mostly a passing type offense
as a UMass fan, I saw Ball make catches like this against us wayyyyy too many times in his career...props to him for getting signed by a contender like the Bears
He might be OK in the red zone. Not an every down receiver from the looks of it though. He will have to get a lot faster. Hopefully he gets faster so the Bears have another offensive weapon. Maybe he can challenge Rashied Davis for the #4 receiver spot.

This Bears fan in VT is happy as hell to get such a player as a free agent. Rex needs all the help he can get and Muhsin is getting old. Say what you will about Rex, but he can throw it deep and with Ball's hands and athletic ability we may have a reliable passing game. So long as Rex can take a f**king snap without fumbling.
