well holden havent been "real" since the H series realy all the comonhores are shit .. they either pork a ecu or do a welch plug,, or a crank angle sensor , or an O2, or leak power steering fluid and blocked PCV'S... what about how they use shithouse ignition barrels from the VN to the VZ and they either freeze or snap a key... lol dont see nissans doing that or how alot of the newish VE's castor rods are fucked from new and you cant give it a wheel alignment. the list is endless! shithouse.

Its good to see an oblective piont of view.lol the VL was euro design and was really a opel rekord/omega. it was designed with thee intention to have the C30LE motor ( as they do in germany) but holden opted for the RB30.. ever noticed how the VN has a long nose to acommodate a straight 6? well the C30 24vi was in the VN (omega A) in europe and was defintety a better motor than the buick 2.5v6 made into the 3.8v6 we know.. I dont see how you can say that imports cost more and I'll tell you why..

ok its import itme.. for instance the 2b25det make 187kw (206kw neo) 319nm (363nm neo) std.. they cost 2nd hand about 4k~5K with box, ecu loom .. ive seen 25's make between 211rwkws and 300rwks with minor mods so they are not costly for the power they make and quite torquey as torque is only due to air mass speed in a motor notthe motors physical size or mechanical inertia.

well i fix my own imports awell as new engines in old cars .. its the same regardlees .. yes old carbies are 'easier' BUT you cant fix a dodgy float bowel on the side of the road...or an old leaver fuel pump with dicky bellows.. new cars aint harder to fix .. infact I think efi and suporting technology is infact more reliable nissans have their own diag codes on the side of the ecu with binking leds, like yes O2 sensors/crank angle's can fail but the motor wil stil run! just..

Thats a good argument, but my old holdens with good maintenance serve me well, I guess it comes down to "Each to his own" I find early cars like my VB or my Toranas are alot easier to work on due to lack of clutter, Very basic wiring Lumes and i manage to push more RWHP out of my 3.3L black 202 (Carbed) than all my mates V6 VN-VX's , Ive gone way of track from the original argument but ive had my rant now :).

yeah so I dive a ceffy? at least Cefiros came with ABS, power windows, LSD, 160kw rb20det ,power mirors, as standard and only variants were the non turbo or diesel models unlike the holden and fords of the time that came out with WOW nothing...
