  • @Itsthesandmanbaby Look at it this way, pal. We live in a fairly civilized society. How often are we in combat anyway?

  • very good! I've seen many different variations of this form and this one is the best performance. Hopefully soon I'll be able to get to that stage of my training!

  • Why are most of the Tang soo do forms here not the way Master Hwang Kee teaches, considering he is the founder of Tang Soo Do and Moo Duk Kwan?

  • @sickonurse You see, there are many schools that teach these forms. As they travel from place to place the masters that learned them sometimes change some parts of the form in a way that makes sense to them. There are no right or wrong way of doing these forms. Just different interpretations. If you look further back into the history of these forms, you'll find that the five pinans used to be one big kung fu form. Over the years, the original form may have been lost over time.

  • @sickonurse

Hwank Kee founded Tang Soo Do but he was no grand master. Hwang Kee learned from books and studied under my teach Ki Whang Kim and other masters that had trained in Japan back in Korea and which Ki Whang Kim trained in Japan under Toyama Kanken.

  • @sickonurse looks like some kung fu'd tang soo do to me... just my opinion

  • @bankaibecker That's probably because I got my first black belt in kung fu. The two make for an interesting combination.

  • you guys should check out "mrblackbelt42" he has the best tang soo do forms on youtube.

  • In kung fu: Master Dennis Brown and his instructors. In karate: Master Marco Sies and the other senior instructors from the school I teach at.

  • Who did you train under?

    Just curious.

  • do you have pinan 3?

  • I do. I'll post that one later.

  • Do you have geon?

Im looking for a video of that

  • Not yet. I'll post that one later.

  • As you tense the muscles you make the sound to show intensity in the movement. Just like giving a yell during a particular punch or kick. It's just to make the form seem more powerful.

  • Do you mind me asking why you make the grunting noise in the slow controlled movements?
