As a stage act they were unsurpassable. From the beginning they choreographed their songs, rather than standing in front of a microphone, and included ample comedy in their routine. As you can see they aged very well and enjoyed a successful second career, making some of their best recordings for Capitol.
This is terrific. Thank you for posting such a tribute to The Andrews Sisters. It was tragic that they were estranged, but I can tell you that on a very personal level there was always a tight bond that no man could break.
Thanks for posting this video! I became such a HUGE fan of the Andrews Sisters in such a short time. I think I'd kill myself if my sisters and I went through what they did... with that vicious fight, no communication between the three of us... then finally my oldest sister dying. LOL... I'd be the cause of it all since I'm the youngest. Thanks again northbreed1a!
