I notice when people talk about generators they leave out a *very* important component.
Having the right gauge extension cords.
Do NOT run extension cords you would use for a saw or fan etc, into your generator and run power off of it. To power a fridge or window AC, no less than 12 gauge. Period.
Use no less than 12 gauge from your generator and through your house when using it.
If you don't have 3 or 4 50 foot 12 gauge extension cords, forget it. You'll burn your house down.
