USMC training is about as long as british army basic training (give or take) marines have to do commando training as well, so they train for 32 weeks and then, after doing time in the field, can specialise. Blah Blah Blah and Australia had Special Z Force in ww2 one of the first ever SFR big deal ,end of the day doesnt matter its Seals, SASR/SAS ,Spetsnaz ,KSK ,COS whoever their role is very small in conventional warfare. They are SF's and dont win wars but rather gather intelligence while doing other covert missions hostage situations, leaders ,intel ect ect. What im saying is there is no contest ,every unit has a role and does just that. GI is just as important as SF's as are every troop.

Not to mention the world record top shooters are Americans. I have to say if US was ever invaded again. The invading forces would take heavy losses by heavly armed civillians many who have had some combat training before any National Guard, or Army Forces arrive. The only threat Americans have is from it's own goverment.

@dustymart Not really, US marines train for around as long as our RM's. Their basic training is shorter but they go off and do specialist training if I remember correctly.
Im willing to bet if Call of Duty did not exist this argument of 'My army is better than yours' would not be so widespread. It's just a bunch of pseudo-military numb nuts thinking they know it all because they have played as the SAS and American special forces in a fucking video game.

USMC training is about as long as british army basic training (give or take) marines have to do commando training as well, so they train for 32 weeks and then, after doing time in the field, can specialise. Again, I agree that it is normally 10n year old morons who argue such cases.

Royal Marines are a light infantry force. They're among the best trained infantry soldiers in the world, but not at the level of special us special forces.

The only two failed SAS missions anyone knows about are Bravo Two Zero (3 dead, 2 from hypothermia) and Libya (captured by moron rebels who they couldn't shoot). US SF have Eagle Claw, Gothic Serpant, Desert One and the recent death of Linda Norgrove in Afghanistan

Blah Blah Blah and Australia had Special Z Force in ww2 one of the first ever SFR big deal ,end of the day doesnt matter its Seals, SASR/SAS ,Spetsnaz ,KSK ,COS whoever their role is very small in conventional warfare. They are SF's and dont win wars but rather gather intelligence while doing other covert missions hostage situations, leaders ,intel ect ect. What im saying is there is no contest ,every unit has a role and does just that. GI is just as important as SF's as are every troop.

@lakewindIceaxe we have much more than the SBS, we have the SAS, SFSG,SRR ,royal marines, pathfinder platoon, TF black and much more, DELTA and SEALs wouldn't be the SFs they are today if it wasn't for the SAS/SBS, thats why the whole of Europe, australia, new Zealand, iraq and afghanistan, prefer out SFs that yours, because they've heard about our history and they've seen us in action, and they know how professional and ruthless we are, so hows about you look up some history mate, alrite?

@lakewindIceaxe at least our country is professional enough not to kill its allies, and al least we dont need help from other countries to help us out with ops, remember in december 2001? when british, american and german special forces were on an op to capture/kill OBL? and the British SBS got to his hideout and they were minutes away from getting him, but then they received a call from US command telling them to wait until delta got there and when they did he was gone? proves how good you are.

The invading forces would take heavy losses by heavly armed civillians many who have had some combat training before any National Guard, or Army Forces arrive. Most everyone I know owns a firearm and is well trained to use them. Men and wemon. In military training American Special Forces have set the standard in modern warfare and combat training.
