You know, the population doesn't really mean anything. Many big cities are notorious for being overcrowded. The living condition is usually really bad.
This is the reason that I really don't care for the population rankings.
What's the point of living in a big, but bad, city?
...continued... they also have much more vibrant, friendly, modern and open cultural patterns and ways of life than in Central America - and I do believe that Mexico City is VERY different from all South American major cities although they share some of the same problems in terms of pollution, urban violence and overpopulation. (like any other city in the developing world) But Mexico is no more like São Paulo than Lagos in Nigeria. They have very little in common...
WTF!!! I used to live in Mexico City, and in my opinion it is one of the ugliest in the world. The city is covered in grey, is polluted and has almost no green spaces apart from a few parks. An absolute horror to live in..
No, wrong! Mexico City is very different from much of the rest of Latin America. The fact that you compare them to me shows that you have never lived in either places. So I guess the ignorant person is you for speaking out on an area you seem to have no knowledge on.
I was born and raised in Guatemala, lived in el salvador for about three years and then to mexico for four, got my papers and came to the US. Once again YOU are the ignorant one. In either case I wasn't saying that Mexico was the same as other countries, I said that you couldnt single out Mexico while other countries have the same issues or problems and share other similarities. By the way if I fucked up the spelling, my bad i'm at work.
Well, I beg to differ, and would still claim you are the ignorant part here. Central America is trailing behind South America in so many senses. When I speak of the "rest of Latin America" I am not referring to neighbouring 3rd world countries (Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras or Nicaragua) that are even worse than Mexico! I am talking about economic powerhouses on the southern cone as Chile, Argentina and Brazil were the economies are not only much more developed than in Central America but...
Oh look a Mexican talking shit about central america. I'm mexican btw, but it does get old.
It's not like Mexico is like South Korea. Actually South Korea was poorer than Mexico in the 70s, but guess what? Their rulers didn't steal all the money, they actually invested in their people and economy. *gasp*
But the left winged communist moonbat greenies of the eco-hybrid world will not say BOO to a goose about it, they would rather insult countries like The US and Australia for our love affair with cars and for turning sustainable forests into paper.
Mexico City needs a clean-up, and the crooked politicians need to be aimed at with sniper rifles.
All politicians are the same everywhere in the world, they're all a buch of currupt pricks. The only difference is that the USA is rich. Wait till Mexico makes a shitload of money and you'll see how things will change, money solves everything.
It was in mexico, mexican people are doing everything you see in that video nothing was staged... so how the fuck is it not A representation of Mexico? it might not be your representation, but don't forget that people don't always have the same outlook on life or culture, people eat and believe different things, this is a fine representation of Mexico even if it's not yours, don't be a dick for just for the sake of being one.
he´s wrong:Mexico city is more than 28 million ppl,and the ppl that was protesting is a bunch of POOR and LAZY ppl who wants that the goverment give them everything, real mexicans are not like that, and the food that he shows is just exotic food, its just for turist,we don´t eat that!thats not the real beauty of mexico,This video sucks and I don´t care if you rate my coment -100,Mexico City it´s not just BIG,is also one of the prettiest cities in the world
This show was meant to highlight only, not to give you a full tour of a country, no documentary in the world has ever explored a country through and through so don't be so close minded.

@mexicano5021 in fact, there are not 16 million people, the last census reported 22.900 million (2010)... so you're right! this vid is really old!

@pahwraith The big difference here is that South Koreans EXPRESS their anger!!!!!!!!!!!
Their violent protests scare the shit out of their own corrupt politicians.
It just seems to me that Mexicans kind of accept what happens in Mexico without making a big fuss about it.

Could be a lot better than this. Mexico has got much more to show in a four and a half short-film video.
