  • Troy makes me all wet!

  • @ftjax me too!!

  • I just saw Parrish on TCM....all of TD's movies were good back then.

  • Been watching Troy Donahue on TCM. So bad he's great!!

  • Was a great movie, just the opposite of trashy.

  • What the heck??? Troy Donahue must have loved red...lol He wore the same red sweater in Rome Adventure and A Summer Place too.It was an excellent movie for the time, much more entertaining than the crap today.

  • I saw this on release and loved it.

  • I don't think it's trashy nor bad. You got it all wrong. If you're so negative about something, don't post it. It's a wonderful movie! I really enjoyed it. At the movie theatre they gave out picture souvenirs with troy donahue's and connie steven's signature.

  • Carrol Oconner ?

  • Of course, someone in the movie had a 'little role' but went on to something more significant 10 years later.

    Who he?

  • Good film. Most of it (the tobacco at least) was filmed right by our house in Windsor. The opening scene is of AST Farm 25 in Windsor, which my father managed. The Connie and Troy things were filmed on the corner of Day Hill and Marshall Phelps Roads.

  • To the poster: It's neither bad nor trashy. If that's what you think, WHY did you bother posting it?

  • Great movie, wonderful cast and beautiful scenes in the tobacco fields. Troy Donahue was so sexy!

  • This was the height of Hollywoods creativity, that is lost today.

  • WB filmed a great film starring Claudette Colbert returning to the screen with Troy Donahue who would become a big star at Warners due to this film and several WB stars Diane McBain, Chad Everett and Connie Stevens. This is a great movie set in the Northern Connecticut tobacco fields. Delmer Daves Directed and this would be the 2nd of 4 Daves-Donahue Hits...A Summer Place, Parrish, Rome Adventure, and Susan Slade. After Donahue left WB his star faded, but for a time he was a big big star.

  • @ToughXArmy69 troy donahue was as famous and popular as elvis presley during his heyday...early 50's and mid 60's.WB really billed him up.
