im 17, last year during the first week that this car came out, i got it (so i was 16 for all you math wizards; and yes my daddy bought it for me). i got made fun of a lot because people took my excitement as bragging. so all yall harping on this 16 year old cause hes freaking excited: shut up, your jealous.

btw my car is doing great i get much better mileage than they say (i.e. 36.7 mpg highway). i recommend this car to anyone because i love this car

BUT Volkswagen is the biggest in Europe and has the most buyers when it comes to the brilliant Golf, and many more.

i have owned audi's vw and bmw cars and never do i have came across such problem. maybe some pple mix fuel with water or bad fuel thats why your gasket fails. otherwise these cars are superb and will not trade any due to people's comment

The A4 looks good, but that's where the party ends. It's an overpriced V-Dub. V-Dubs have poor reliability (I know from personal experience). They suck pretty bad, sorry to say.

I feel I must explain myself. I owned first VW Passat. Transmission blew up twice. Still I believed VWs are excellent cars and I traded in my Passat for brand new Jetta GL. I drove it for 3 years. Transmission, radiator, battery, fuel pump blew up even the relay that opens fuel tank failed so I had to pry open it to fill it up. I traded it in for A4 brand new. After 8000 miles one day it couldn't start. Service center needed 3 months to fix "minor issue".

VW's are junk. Look at consumer reports. They do as well as Ford. My Mom had an 2004 Audi A4, it was a piece of shit. Radio blew fuses constantly. Cupholders broke. Engine blew a head casket. Like I've always said all along, Audi's mistake was the introduction of the B7 A4. When they introduced it for 2005.5 the B6 design still had life in it amd looked modern. Now, good luck trying to tell this new B8 from a B7. Had they just kept the beloved B6 around until now they would have had a truely new car, rather than something that loks just like a face lift.

The B6 is hardly beloved. The B7 fixed many technical issues that hampered the B6's performance, plus the 2.0TFSI is an awesome motor. I agree that the timing is a bit off, but the B8 will be excellent.

Jaeger, what "technical issues" are you talking about? The perfomance figures are not that much different from the 1.8T. In fact my 03 A4 was just chipped otherwise totally stock and was putting out close to 200HP which is what 2.0 does, isn't it? Plus the B6 was a much better looking car. I can not comment yet on the new car until I see it in person but based on the pictures I have seen so far, it likes almost the same as the current A4.

Sorry this one and the A5 looks thoroughly similar to the new BMW 3-series Coupe, although A4 looks much better than the A5. Understeer in all porsche-audi-vw models is the worst thing that is hidden under the name of "safety", :)

Addendum: The segment from 0:11-0:13 is not very clear, since the shadow hides part of the car. I blame this on Audi's obsession with showcasing their front end. They do a tremendous job on perfecting all the surfaces of their cars, so it's a shame that the marketing focuses so much on the front.

Thanks for the video, but I'm annoyed by the fact that the video shows very little of the car from a correct front 3/4 perspective. In almost every brief segment showing the car, it's of the front end. I'm interested in seeing the new proportions (shorter overhangs), not the big grille over and over again.
