Leo was the bamfest of all the heroes, and Ellis loved him the most. Hell, they all loved him the most. In fact, in the ending I unlocked, all the descendants got together, sacrificed themselves, used a phoenix down, and brought Leo back, and all the girls got with him. And I mean ALL the girls, from every generation plus all the final girls like Ellis and Dyshana and Vira. So Leo in the end just lives in a hot spring harem with some 20 hot ass women forever. BEST ENDING!!!
She does love them both. When she cried at saying goodbye to Ladius, for example, she wasn't seeing Leo off again, but rather a man who was like a son to her. The heart is big enough to have room for more than one person, arguing otherwise is like saying you can't love both a spouse and a child.
I personally find the Ellis ending beautiful. All those years of raising Leo's descendants like lambs to the slaughter, heartbreak every 20 some-odd years, she finally finds happiness.

Anyways, I just realized the seiyuu of Ellis is Kana Ueda. I played this game last year before my personal discovery of visual novels. I didn't know the voice actor of Ellis was the voice actor of my all time favorite visuals I'd later play: ever17 and Fate/Stay Night :D
i was about to get this ending.... only one more god to kill.... then suddenly , in the middle of the battle, my brother accidentally smacked the xbox from a standing position into the floor.... when i opened the tray.... my cd had a beautiful scratched circle in it...... DAMN!!!
@Ginobi666 I feel your pain. Never, NEVER put the Xbox in a standing position unless you are completely sure it cannot be moved from that position. I learned that lesson the hard way. Of course, even "lying down" it is still susceptible to the whole scratched disk problem.

I love Ellis but the feeling that she loved his father and now son is awkward. This game was more of a downer then a pleasant ending. :/
