@kwang1imsa In the US you have 40 million American without health insurance, they can't receive some care, because they don't have enough money, whereas in France we have free health care for all. that's why our life expectancy is far more high than the US. I'm tired to see American ppl pretend that their country, is the greatest, the most beautiful, etc...you have one of the highest criminality rate in the world
even the HDI of France is the 7th in the world, it's better than the US (13th).

@B4realalready I can only speak from indiana, Virginia, and Washington perspectives but there are day shelters that will allow you to use their address as a way to receive mail. I can only guess that every state/city has this as well.
It does take some work to do, a bit of creativity. And your better than most, of America who are 1 paycheck from being undone.

Tent cities outside the US have almost no water and tent dwellers in those places are so weak they can't even get up to complain or have an attitude.
In US at least everyone in a tent city is well fed like in 1:58 and theres even mention of luxuries like alcohol and drugs, not the dust and flies elsewhere . . .

Some one had to pay for the land,materials,labor to build these homes etc..I can assure you the banks want their money not a home back that is worth less than what they lent the borrower to buy it for in the first place! The upper 1-5% pay most all taxes in the U.S.! GDP per capita is an average. As America has a lot of very wealthy billionaires, this causes the average to go up, but the median isn't that high.
Combine GDP with gini coefficient to get a real good number. The us has a gini of 46,3 (as of 2007, but now probably more), which means more inequality in wealth. Poland has a gini of about 32 (less inequality). Also houses are cheaper, food is cheaper etc. And Poland is just an eastern Europe country.
US wealth is with the rich, not the people.

Also if u want someone to blame for the crisis blame the Democrats in congress they forced the lending industry to have to give loans to people that never should have gotten loans in the first place, there called predatory loans, these people are the people who had to foreclose on their homes not the majority of people lending. In fact up until the Democrats took congress and started to implement these predatory loans, 96% of Americans were paying there mortgages on time.

I agree that they are in a terrible situation and I do feel sorry for them in that sence. However, no held a gun to anyone's head and said, "Buy this house and car and counter tops on credit because good times will never turn bad!!" If I lost my job today I could survive for more than a year without one because I keeped myself informed and didn't over-extend myself.
