Initially the blame has to lie with the animal feed industry. What kind of idiot feeds other animal proteins to a cow? Cows are not omnivores or carnivores.

Remember in the UK they fed us infected meat and caused CJD in people. They fed the dead infected sheep to the cows does this sound even remotely acceptable. And put the most infected parts i.e. the brain and spine in processed meat products like sausages. Arn't governments trustworthy entities.

CJD is deer meat too and the government as well as the Wildlife Agencies are hiding truth to the public. Why do you think they have the pantries?, because the hunters don't want to eat the body they want to kill for fun but God forbid they get sick!

The risk of being exposed to BSE now has been practically erradicated...The only people at risk are those who ate cheap beef products before 1996 which is unfortunatly quite a lot of people, myself included...All we can do is hope we didn't get infected...*gulp*

@BambiXmas If it was unnatural for humans to eat meat, we wouldn't have our canine teeth. It's just the way we breed massive amounts of cows and slaughter them for a quick buck instead of checking every piece of meat before we ship it out.

You do realize meat these days is checked to make sure this doesnt happen. Being a human that doesnt eat meat isnt natural, we are omnivores we need meat and vegetables to be 'healthy'

@drigerf6 I'm not too sure thats true there are whole cultures aroud the world that a vegetarian. Some people simply don't want to eat animals. To some people its the cruelty are you ok with birds kept in tiny cages ending up with broken legs and deformity for example. Do you just eat the chicken off the broken bone and think nothing off it. well not anymore. For some people its simply aesthetics.
