@vinalooch Amen! Peter left due to family issues. The rest of the guys just weren't there yet as evidenced by Uncle Phil's marriage breakup. No judgements here. Just please realize these are real people. :) They are both great front men. I think trick of the Tail is phenomenal! It was a creative outburst resulting from the Lamb being a Gabriel controlled effort and fear of loss... Of course Peter's first was great in its own way as well.
urm shut up collins rutherford and banks wrote the instrumental songs you pillocks and collins sounds more like proper genesis than gabriel ever did (as said by peter himself)
Brilliant, such creativity. The Gabriel years were the best. From prog rock superstars to mediocre pop group thanks to Phil Collins who eventually made them sound like one of his solo pieces of rubbish (In Too Deep from Invisible Touch)
@RadioBazterd Mediocre Pop My ass The Groups Transformation From Prog Which I Like to Pop which I Respect Was Worth It AS They Got Some Hits In AMerica
saw this lot at the freetrade hall I dont think they had done this one yet...they were stillon suppers ready and the knife was the big one everyone knew and harold the barrel....always special to me....good post
I sometimes wonder, was this version, or that loooooooong 80's version better? (I think they started that other one in the 80's but I'm not sure.I know it was in the Phill Collins era.)
twat !!!!..collins can naver be considered as rubbish ..get your toys back in your pram

La meilleure période de Genesis, Peter Gabriel aux chants, Steve Hackett à la guitare.
C'est Steve Hackette qui donna à Genesis son premier vrai tube... I know what I Like...

Anyone who bashes Uncle Phil is an ignoramus - no clue of how the music business works
Trick of the Tail (Phil's 1st lead vocal) is the best Genesis record

Personally, I love the "da, da, da, da, da" part.
Cynical lyrics with cynical humor=classic!
