Kasumi left the village to avenge Hayate when she found out Raidou is in the Doa tornament and joins. But was considered a traitor for doing that so Ayane is ordered to kill her. Hayate and Ayane enter the tourney and the rest is history. This is showing the beginning of what happaned and shows y Ayane hates Kasumi.
