what ever your opinion is on guy fawkes there's no denying that he was a clever bugger.

i read that in order to give himself a quicker death he jumped from the top of gallows early to the surprise of everyone there so he could break his own neck and not have to painfully choke. either religious activist or treasonous mad man, he was still very clever.

The movie is magnificent, but this sequence is historically inaccurate. Fawkes was sentenced to be hanged, drawn and quartered - but he jumped off the scaffold and broke his neck to avoid the gruesome disembowelment.

That aside, I so want to see the ending of this movie brought to life!
