Something occurred to me. Nothing implied that the Doctor's soul (that red mist) really died, he could have just escaped the room without anyone noticing. This means he could come back from the dead in the next game. (If there is a next game. I believe Pixel said it was likely, I could be wrong.) :o

Have you tried finishing the game with the mimiga mask? It's only a little different. Also, Booster's dialogue changes if you visit him in Arthur's house with it on.

On a different note, I don't think I've ever defeated Misery and.Sue in the last battle. I originally thought there'd be consequences.

@Jecht111 Yeh, I know how you feel about that. I got all the way to the final boss here with 4 hp left, and well, heh, I didn't have a potion. By some insane miracle I got him down to half health and got completely destroyed. I haven't played the game in quite a while since then.

If you don't have the Spur, then the next best weapon to use (especially against The Doctor's first 2 forms, since he doesn't spawn experience) is the Nemesis. Also, you may want to consider letting Misery stay in the final fight, since she does next to no direct damage, and the swarms she spawns can generate a lot of health.

The last boss was ridiculously hard. I didn't have half of those items. Booster, laser..? I just gave up. This is a great game but I'm not good with these unlinear games. I may beat the game but don't meet some bosses/get some weapons.

the game is linear. The fact that you can do a few extra sidequests and get special items just by refusing other ones doesn't make it non-linear. :P

There was a bit of good timing with my...talking to myself on this video. One of the people escaping the island mentioned it being an earthquake, I said "It's obviously not an EARTHquake." Then you, to the video, said "Oh, yes it is!"...As a reflex I responded with some kind of "shut the hell up!" like comment and your next line was "uh-oh"...it caused me to laugh. Geez, you aren't kidding about "Casualty List". For a "good ending", it's kind of a downer! Especially during early runthroughs where you aren't sure what to do, so Curly dies, or you forget her or the tow rope, or Booster bite the dust...

But hey, at least the annoying as hell Gaudis and island monsters die along with it. You win some, you lose some, I guess... :)

I never bothered killing Misery in this fight - the massive amounts of monsters she spawns give hearts and missiles.
