@Spadadiforza I understand not knowing if you can trust your friends. They know how much being accepted as a woman meas to me and I know they worked hard to start thinking of me that way. You start to worrie about how strangers see you and worrie your friends are just saying nice things to make you happy. I worried about that until I started a new course in a female only class and have been completly accepted as a woman there, this validation is worth 100 complements form friends to me.

It makes sense to just take people's words at face value when receiving a compliment and to say "thank you," -as you say- whether you feel like it or not :-)
It's difficult for alot of us to hear something positive about ourselves. Unfortunately, we often just believe anything negative that some dung-for-brains says to us.
I think in both cases we should consider the source and that includes some of the idiots that have posted previously. Obviously they have problems...they sound like babies.
