Republicans are damn liars. They're for the rich and corporations. They brought us to war, are racist, hate minorities. They disrespect women. They gave all the tax breaks to the rich during Bush. They try to pit us against ourselves while the richest people screw us. Don't let them fool you. If they wanted to pass health care reform they could have done it when they were in control. They had years of stealing from the American people. Now it is our time to get a little help.

Hospital Bill = $39,000 for a week intensive care

Totaled Car Repair = $7,000

The house you ran into = $13,000

Funeral costs for the guy you hit in his living room = $5,000

Spouse sues your insurance company = $50,000

And these are conservative numbers. This is what Insurance Companies, the Government, and the FDA have done.

Doesn't Georgia have a problem with the very poor not having health care coverage? And isn't that one of the states that takes in more from the Gov than they pay out? Meaning more Americans have to support them through taxes. Guess you aren't thinking about the poor and the people who are sick in your district, wonder how they feel

The poor people are sick here because they are addicted to pain killers and McDonalds. I'm tired of seeing their lazy, no good leeching off of other people with no respect for other peoples achievements. People around here have turned into scum because of this socialism. If they can't get a job, then get up and grow a garden so you can eat. Everybody can do something that either helps them or earns them money. So there is no excuse.

I too resent those who "work the system" and hope one day this country wakes up to these scam artist. But there is a need for health reform. I for one can't afford health insurance because of my crappy wages and the cost they charge for even the most lame coverage. My only hope is the Republican plan "die quickly"

I understand how everyone feels about the cost of health care. However, It is the FDA with their monopoly Pharma companies that have skyrocketed prices by stamping out free trade, freedom, and competition in medicine. The FDA is the enemy of health care. I don't have health care either. I can't afford $150 a month.

people get so up in arms over social welfare... its such a small fraction of our spending. The real people working the system are the corporations... they are the ones stealing from the government. Single mothers on welfare didnt plunge our economy into a near depression.

Ask people in California about that deficit they're in. It may not be the single mother that is causing it, but add up the millions of single mothers on welfare and your state is broke.  You can't pay out more than you're bringing in. That is simple finance.

lol to grow a garden you need to own land. To own land you have to have money. If you cant find a job in this economy then what, your just out of luck? and many working poor cant afford healthcare despite having a job. The real scum are the greedy asshats that think they are immune to adversity and have an overinflated sense of entitlement.

I was taught at home and not at a public school. The only thing I'm guilty of is having parents that gave me a social security number. The real scum is the government and the FDA, as far as healthcare goes. Not to mention the fact that insurance is just a subsidy for health, car, life, and home. Guess what kind of repair work for those costs? TOO MUCH! Get rid of the FDA and outlaw insurance companies and costs for all of these things will lower substantially.

Thomas Jefferson lived in a much different time. Unfortunately historical figures tend not to be relevant beyond their time period. If you want to live and die by Jefferson's words... then you should receive the healthcare relevant of the period.... if that was the era of enlightenment... no need to use any technology of the present. Thomas Jefferson would have said the idea of computers is impossible, and a form of witchcraft.

The only thing that has changed is the way they have made us look at it. Everything is still 100% applicable. There are still governments trying to rule it's people and there is still a need of a revolution every 20 years as Jefferson said. It is stated in the constitution the right to abolish tyrannical governments. No one can say ONE thing that is not relevant in the constitution.

i can say that the right to bare arms, would include nuclear  and biological weapons if you take it at face value.

You could say that, you could also say that you cannot afford to own one as well. So if that were the case no one would be able to have it anyway. You would need the know how, the production capacity and the resources. Simple economics and free markets fix any problems that might crop up.

anthrax is pretty cheap... sure enriching uranium is expensive... but if the free market demand called for an anthrax supplier... it would be easy profit.
