Also, montana threw the ball right at cincy's db in the final drive that would have cost most qb's the superbowl. For some reason people point to his 4 super bowl wins and say how flawless he was, when in reality, the afc at that time was just godawful. Every nfc qb that made the super bowl in that era looked like a god, don't you guys remember when simms threw like 3 incomplete passes? Montana was a great qb yeah, but he wasn't the jordan or gretzky of football

well, Bart Starr has more titles than either Montana or Bradshaw, but the NFL randomly stopped counting championships...also, Unitas is the best qb ever because he changed the game for qbs, just like Bobby Orr changed the game for hockey defencemen and Babe Ruth changed the game of baseball

Those who assume Bradshaw won his 4 rings due to D please watch TERRY BRADSHAW HIGHLIGHT video, his D didn't make him SB MVP twice, NFL MVP, get him in the HOF first ballot or make HOF LB Ham say he wouldn't have 4 rings without Terry. Those who think Joe didn't have a great D. SF D was ranked # 2,3, 4, and 10 all the years Joe won SBs and they held Dan Marino to 16 points, John Elway to 10 points and 2 top Cincy Offenses lead by Pro Bowl QBs Ken Anderson and Boomer Esiason to 20 and 16 points.

Can you guys stop about the thing that Payton Manning is better that Joe.

He is good but came on, you can not have an interception returned for a TD when the SB is on the line.

Joe never did that, he was allways perfect when the big one was on the line.

And Joe didnt have the greatest defense of all time backing him either.. those steeler teams couldve won 4 super bowls with any average to slightly above avg qb..

Actually, Joe had some pretty good defenses backing him up. The four Super Bowl seasons he enjoyed there saw the Niners rank #2 (1981), #10 (1984), #3 (1988), and #4 (1989) in total yards allowed. They weren't the Steel Curtain by any means in terms of talent, but those Niner defenses never get their just due.

@dre32pitt Wrong. Terry was the MVP of 2 of the 4 SBs and had to bring Pittsburgh from behind with his arm in 3 of the 4.

Hall of Fame Steelers LB Jack Ham said "I wouldn't have 4 rings if not for Bradshaw" That's why Terry was a firt ballot HOF inductee.

The 49ers D of the 80s is so underrated it's sicking.

They were # 1, 2, 4 and 10 in all 4 of their SB years with Joe in the 80s
