The only thing that I don't like about alot of wiccans is their seems to be a post-modern hippi/mad feminist mentality but then I really don't understand why wiccans would want to join the U.S. military if they believe "do as thou wilt but harm NONE" just as I don't understand christians when they claim to believe "thou shall not murder" I makes no sense at all.
I resolve to say fuck it, people die, everything erodes, decays in the physical realm, that is its nature, so nature is NOT always good, it's probably neutral...So people are neutral right? What constitutes a good enough reason to shoot somebody then?
Obviously people should be able to have their own religion and put whatever they want on a tombstone. It's just that the minds behind U.S. military are corrupt and vicious. I don't claim to know the reason this guy joined the military but I hope it was just to shoot some people because atleast he wouldn't be deluded into thinking that that he was doing anything beneficial to the human species and the planet at large.
@deviantcreep the christian say thou shalt not murder but they are the biggest hippocrites. i do not know why he joined the military probaly felt it was his duty but i dont know. my only thought to the chritians and their love for bloodshed is that they must either be egotistically mad (feeling in control and dominate over everything) or they just like the way blood stains your hands and your soul.
@deviantcreep I know what you mean ... it baffles me too .. but the only resolution I can think of, for wiccans is that death is part of the "the circle of life" ... killing is part of nature .... so maybe sometimes, it's necessary to kill? still, how can you say 'harm ye none' ... when killing is harming? ... I know Christians justify it saying that lawful killing isn't murder ... only unlawful killing is murder ... so maybe with wiccans, lawful killing isn't harmful, but is the greater good?
I suppose "Self Defense" could be a reasonable explanation if a person believes the war is actually legitimately self defense but these days it rarely is with all the psychopaths in power... Some people just don't want to admit the reality that their own governments don't give a crap about any citizens well being unless it serves their agenda.
Thank you so much Celia! This song makes me tear up when I sing it. It gives me hope that one day I won't have to be persecuted for my beliefs, even by those you love me!
as a pre-christain I think its bull that they still do this crap in schools. if they see a pentagram they think its bad but if someone wears a cross that makes them good?
Song was very moveing, I love all her songs Great voice and great music.
Thank you Celia. You made me cry, you made me laugh, you made me proud. It's unimportant what branch of paganism we are or even which religion we follow what is important is that this brave soldiers last request was honoured. Thank you.Blessed Be
Thank the Goddess...they finally approved it! As for the song, the first time I heard it was a PSG and it still brought me to tears. Thank you for sharing!

How can you know, that he killed somebody? I dont know, but I mean to be in army doesnt mean just kill people..
I am not wiccan but I dont see feminism in wicca, there are a lot of male members too.
I think what she sings about is very true. Nobody can tell us not to follow our own religion. ( I hope my engslih is understandable )

@Glanecia I just found this: The Wiccan Rede
Bide the Wiccan laws we must
In perfect love and perfect trust.
Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill:
An’ ye harm none, do as ye will.
Lest in thy self defense it be,
Ever mind the Rule of Three.
Follow this with mind and heart,
And Merry ye Meet, and Merry ye Part.
I bet Wiccan Soldiers justify war by calling it self defense -- and some wars are self defense.
